So my daughter is 10 months..is it ok for me to start slowly introducing whole milk? When did you start introducing whole milk?

they say not to give whole milk until the baby is over a year old. I started giving my daughter milk when she turned one. You could always ask your baby's doctor though.

I would talk to her pedi first but we're starting Dominic on milk after he's a year because their bodies can have trouble digesting it.

the bpy doctor told me at 11 months not to remove any formula from thier diet but sence tehy showed interest in my milk they couls have an oz or 2 a day and be fine. it would likely make the trasition easier.at one year old we took formula away and theywere on wholemilk with out any issues.

I started weaning around 11 1/2 months. Then by the time she was 1 it was all whole milk. I think 10 months is a little early, just wait another month or so.

I think it is ok to give in very small amounts. NOT to replace any formula or breastmilk but just to introduce the taste of it. I think I am going to start introducing whole milk in a sippy cup around 11 months. I will only do about 1 ounces at a time though

12 months is when you should start to wean them over. We started at 11 months per orders from our pedi because she was refusing her formula. Now she is taking it again when I mix some milk in with it.

with my oldest son we started introducing milk when he was around 9 months old (our dr gave us the ok to) but when we first started we mixed about 2 oz milk to 6 oz of formula for the first few weeks then slowly added more oz of milk. he did just fine and had no problems at all.

Just so everyone knows I'm not talking about replacing her formula just giving her a bit.

There is no point to do it so early.....and you have a higher chance of her having an allergy to it the earlier....there really is no point at 10 months.
