I have heard that you can walk around dialated for weeks! Sorry!! But everyone is different..and the doctors usually know! I never really dialtated until I was given pitocin but at my 38 week appt the midwife told me that she didn't expect to see me there for my next appt...and she was right! the morning of my next week appt I was delivering my son! So good luck! Walk and have sex if you want to have the baby sooner! lol!

with my first daughter the doc told me i was 80% and 4 cm dilated by the 38th week, he told me he'll see me in a week but probably he might not even have to see me at all. four days later i suddenly had very bad contractions so i went to the hospital in the afternoon, the nurse said i was only 2cm dilated which i think my cervix started to close so i was sent back home and was very pissed bcus i wanted her out of me right those moments when i have the painful contractions, but we came home for two or three hours later and i swore i would start hurting someone anyone very badly so my husband took me to the ER just so i would stop bickering lol and the nurses had me there for an hour until i popped my water(i know most ladies water broke, but i broke my own, it might not be good to do that, but i had to lol) and 30 mins later out she came!!! an hour later i felt like i never went through the pregnancy even though i still felt the pain down there and the baby was next to me... until this day i'm amazed about pregnancy.

well... when i went to the er they just let me lay on the bed and they monitored my contractions and then left me there and all the nurses took off to do watever it is they went to do. and i lay there with the pains just so desperate for my baby to come out. i whined when every contraction comes up, my mother n law told me to push, just to push and don't wait for the nurses or doc... it was my first pregnancy i didn't know much about labor that time so i listened to my mother n law thinking maybe she knows what she's saying cus she had eight children... so i kept pushing a couple of times(kegel+push @ same time), i didn't count how many times but it was something like 8+ pushes and then i felt and heard a little poping sound and i looked towards my lower body at the time hearing the popping sound, i didn't see the water but i know it was my water shooting against the thin white blanket, that's when my husband notified the nurses and they all came rushing and start putting needles in my hands and arms and started doing everything at that moment. 30 mins later there's baby!!!
