January Mommy Mafia

Yay. 1st post!

lol woohoo!! we have also graduated from the "due date buddies" section to the "Parents with infants"  

How are all the January Mommies doing?  I for one am blissfully exhausted....most of the time. ; )

I...well im bored i spose, the little guys sitting here talking to me. I cant believe he's 2 weeks old already, well he will be in just over an hour.

lol same here...oh to have just one kid again! lol, not really, i wouldnt trade it for the world, and its as if she has always been here

It does seem like Ava's always been here as well.  I think I'm starting to get use to juggling the whole two kids thing.  Boy I was spoiled for 8 years with just one!

Amanda I will try that pumping while he is eating thing lol it does sound hard and im sure it takes much needed practice!

So how are you breastfeed mommies going out to the store lol? My son is not the typical every 2-3 hour feeding he eats when he wants and that could be from 45 min to 3 hour I never know so its impossible to go anywhere. Amanda does this get better? Like how am I ever going to go to the grocery store or buy new clothes without having to worry if I am going to have to pop my boob out in public. I cant pump lol cause I never ge enough and when I do get a good ammount hes hungry and I have to feed it to him

yay im happy this one is started =) so i found this website thats very addictive....you know all those siggies that mommies on here do where they can put your baby's face or picture into other things like teddy bears and stuff its imikimi.com and i warn you its very addictive lol ive already made 2 ill post them on here.....

and whats funny is that Kaylei and Taylor both do the same thing in utero with their hands by their faces i said its a girl Harrison thing lol ;) but this site is extremely addictive =) have fun girls!

Oh Taylor's umbilical cord stump finally fell off today so yay she can get real baths now! im getting her bathtub this weekend from my SIL so she can have a real bath then =) oh and she slept clear through the night last night from 11 pm-7am =) i was so happy but im scared when she sleeps that long i feel like i should wake her up to feed her but she would just fall asleep through her feedings so its a waste. i just let her sleep...is that bad? i hope not.

I take formula with when we go out just in case and I bring a bottle of breastmilk too. I will not pop the boob out in public unless its my absolute last resort. I have been exclusively breastfeeding for almost two weeks now and I am so happy I am able to do it this time! With my last 2 kids it hurt so bad I just gave up and started pumping exclusively. I love getting to spend time with Brielle and give her something that no one else can, ya know 
I started my online classes and I was going to take 2 but once I got started, I ended up dropping one because I wanted to be able to enjoy the last couple weeks of maternity leave without being completely stressed out. I'm already stressed enough. Sometimes I feel like I have been run through the ringer a few times because I take care of the baby and my 17 month old all day, then my 5 year old comes home from school and has homework every night that we have to sit and do together. I am completely exhausted all the time and the baby has her days and nights mixed up too so I'm up most of the night. I keep telling myself "It will get better and it could be worse!!" I'm just glad she's not awake every 2 hours on the dot day and night. My son woke up every 2 hours for the first six months.

I was glad when Brielle's cord finally fell off! man that thing is gross looking! I take Brielle in the bathtub with me. I have one of those bath tub things but I dont even use it. I haven't gotten pooped on yet! Lol!

Brielle initiated my mom the other day! She was changing her diaper because she heard her poop and I told her to wait a few more minutes til she was done but she said "No thats gross". As soon as she pulled the diaper down poop shot out and covered my mom's hand, arm, shirt and pants! I was like ....I told ya so!! LOL

nicole, it will get better, i promise!! are you letting him nurse from one breast as long as he wants before switching him over to the other? did you see my post about the "hind milk"? if you have an electric pump, its easy to pump one while he is nursing from the other. i had a manual pump for the longest time, and now that i have an electric one it is so much easier. i dont know how many times i have been driving somewhere and stopped in a parking lot to nurse her, or nurse before we go in the store, etc. i dont have a problem feeding in public, but i know some people do. and i completely understand that also. the other day was the first time where i was actually "out" and fed her. we were at the park. it wasnt that crowded, and i just covered myself...but story realy quick...

on alicias note about carrying a bottle with you. the other day i was going to a mary kay party up in houston, and for some reason grabbed a thing of my milk out of the freezer and a bottle. well, i got stuck in traffic FOREVER! i was sitting still for about 45min until she started crying...so i remembered about my frozen milk! so i had to turn the heater on full blast (mind you it was about 75degrees out) and thaw it and warm it, and reach around and feed it to her while we were sitting there. it was insane, but i would now highly recommend taking some with you! lol.

nicole, if you get good at pumping, try and stock your freezer that way you have some in reserve

man, props to you girl! i couldnt imagine having any more than jude! what are you going to school for if you dont mind me asking? it seems like all of these january babies have their days and nights mixed up!

ohhhh noooo!!!!!!!!! nooo i'm kidding! i'm happy it got started!! i went to our thread and was like ohhh yaaaa right!! no way in hell i can read up on all that! but i will scan threw it cause i want to know whats up with my girls!! i missed you all sooo much! my internet was off, its on now! Joey was back in the special care nursery for Jaundise but he's great!! He is 9lbs 3oz now! he's a chunk! girls i just love being a mommy!!looking in his eyes melts me everyday! i look at him and think there is no way i can love him anymore than i do now, then he goes and does something else thats melts me all over again! girls the past month (almost) sence i had him have been amazing but crazy like usual! with him being in the NICU, me having to get the emergency c-section then a kidney infection i was just zonked!! ohhh my cell got shut off too thats why i couldnt even text!! lol!!! But we are home, doing great, my family is obsessed with him i love seeing the boys with him! He definitly wont lack that male figure in his life!! lol!! Steve is out he has been for a week now and hasnt even tried to see my son! Its his loss, he's missing out on a amazing lil man!! i cant stand him anyways so until he does the right thing and can prove that to me he's not allowed near this place! And there is no way in hell i will bring Joey out in the cold to see that scum!! ohhhh girls i missed you all so much! i have no clue whats going on with anyone! i hate it! so i'm gonna take a few minutes and scan through the thread! love you all! please text me, send me messages keep in touch! we all went through all this together lets no fade away!! i'm so sorry i kinda did for a few weeks! things went a lil crazy!! love you all soo much! muahhhh!
