Congratulations; he's absolutely gorgeous. Bravo to you for standing up to your doc and doing things your way. I had a homebirth with my daughter and am planning one with this baby, as well, and have had to deal with the negativity... so I know how hard it can be to stay strong. What a great story, and I'm glad you got to have the birth that you wanted.

I just read your story & i just wanted to say it was very inspiring! I need some of that right now! I'm getting nervous about having my 2nd! but i believe my body can do it again!!

All the ladies in the natural childbirth support thread have been chatting up your birth story the past few days! WOW. You are such an inspiration. I too refused induction for the same reason, luckily i didn't have to leave the hospital, as homebirth wasn't an option for us. I would've though. I'd rather have my baby in my car than get hooked up to the pit! Again way to go.

I loved your story. Your little one is beautiful. I really want to experience a water birth and was so discouraged when I found out that my hospital did not allow them. With baby #2 one day I am gonna look more into it so I can get the ideal birth that I really want.

I have a question about water birth, wouldn't the baby drown when it comes out? or once its head comes out do you lift your lower body up out of the water or something? I want to try a water birth but I am not sure what to do, I don't want my baby to drown.
