But congrats on the night out!! I'm gonna have my American ladies over for tacos next week - that'll be my first "me night" since giving birth.

there's ALWAYS the risk of infection. and that goes for whether you just popped a baby out your hoo ha or not.

but if you're not worried (i know i wouldn't be if it were just for an hour) go for it.

west still sleeps a ton, and will do it pretty much anywhere (like right now he's happily swaddled while laying in his amby hammock) but if he's awake he just wants to be held. the moby has been my lifesaver. he just hangs out half the day in it.

Madi will probably be in NB until three months if thats the case. Lol. Although they are getting a little small. Also depends on the brand.

it's not his weight so much as it is his height. weight wise he's fine in 0-3. bu he's 23 in...and rapidly growing. part of the problem is that he's in cloth diapers too, which make his torso longer. but even in disposables they're too small because his torso is naturally miles long with stubby little legs and feet. he's oddly proportioned.

i am definitely jealous of all of you with dinky babies. i don't mind that he's a big boy, but the fact that he's growing so fast and is the size wyatt was at multiple months old makes it feel like it's going by even faster. when i look at his body i see a 2-3 month old. at least when i look at his face and hear his cries he still reminds me of a new baby.

eh, wyatt was only a few oz more than madi when he was born, and only a few oz more at her equivalent age now, so if she continues on his path...he outgrew his preemies at 3 weeks ish, nb a 2 months, and then from there until 12 months went exactly according to the labels. now he still stays pretty much according to the labels, with a few differences here and there (like all his shorts are still 12 months, and a lot of his shiets are 18 months, but becaue of his long legs his pants are definitely 24m or 2t)

i always thought it would be weird if they ended up exactly the opposite of what you imagined. like wyatt ends up being nick sized and west ends up being like me. very possible seeing as nick started out like wyatt and my brother started out like west and is no skinnier than i am.

They're all about the tea over here, too! The midwives were even telling us about how & what kind of tea to make for him...G keeps talking about the damn tea, too. (Although he's at least talking about the tea for "later", like when Dylan's 6 months-ish). Last night I told him that I didn't think we'd ever be giving him tea. He got a little pissed at me. Oh well.

I think it's a matter of the danger you know...lived in Kansas until I was 22 - never got anywhere NEARa tornado. None of my friends/family were ever anywhere near 'em either. Just gets to a point where you totally ignore the tornado sirens. I was back in Tulsa for work a couple years ago. Was walking from a hotel across the street to a restaurant with my boss (a Brit) when the tornado sirens went off. Neither the Tulsans nor I reacted at all to the sirens. My boss finally asked, "aren't we supposed to be doing something when that siren goes off?" Once we got to the restaurant he was avidly watching the news reports. Once we all saw the tornado was coming close, we all went outside to watch for it.
