Abortion poll

I have not regretted it at all to this day
I have more non-regrets than regrets about it
I have an equal mix of regrets and non-regrets about it
I have more regrets than non-regrets about it
I have regretted it fully since the day it happened

Quoting Pr0nkBeth:“ I'm curious to know of the women who have never aborted who voted "regretted it since the day it happened". I'm willing to bet the majority of the votes. :X”
I was thinking the same thing.

Quoting that one girl:“ I'm sorry but you have only been "ttc" for a month. It can take a lot longer than that to get pregnant. ... [snip!] ... doesn't think it's a baby until it's born. So when a baby is 40 weeks and dies in the womb he doesn't believe that is a baby?”

I know it has only been a month, but i still hate waiting. No he believes if it can't live on its own it is not a baby. So a baby has been born and lived at 24 weeks...so he would consider that a living child.

interesting. that would suck to have a stillbirth at 40 weeks and him not think it was a baby

No he would and he was even sad when we had the abortion, he just is more "practical" and I am more emotional.

I'm not her husband/boyfriend... but I believe that what he means is that, to him, it is not considered a baby until it is *viable*, meaning that it would have a chance at survival outside of the womb. A fetus does not become viable until around 22-24 weeks. Which, in most places is the cut-off for non-medically necessary abortions.

At 40 weeks, a fetus is considered viable. If it were born still, I'm sure he would still consider it a baby, even though it had not taken a breath. Of course, I am not him though, nor do I even know him... I just think I understand (based on her post) what he believes. I happen to agree with him.

Just so you know, it can take up to a year for a healthy couple to conceive. That is with no issues what so ever. Getting pregnant the first month is actually pretty rare. So I am sure there is nothing wrong with you and you will be pregnant before you know it

Agreed. It took my husband and I almost 3 years to conceive our son. And there's nothing wrong with us.   I think a lot of it was that we weren't doing it during the right time in my cycles. Plus, I just don't think I'm naturally very fertile, lol. Healthy, yes... but I guess I'm just not one of those women that gets pregnant easily. The saying "my husband can just look at me and I'm pregnant" definitely doesn't apply to me, haha.
