What exactly should I NOT buy.

I will be giving birth in about 4 months...thats coming up pretty soon. I will be having my baby shower on April 18th. I want to start buying some items but I dont want to buy items that I will obviously receive at the babyshower or that I will never use. What items should I buy and NOT buy.

bibs....people always give lots of bibs

dont buy a changing table or a diaper genie or a wipes warmer... or anything like that, because they are a waist of money!

wipes warmer, bottle mixer are both a complete waste of money.

The only thing I have bought that I didn't get at my baby shower was wipes.

Don't buy blankets. I was given a million blankets.

my dad bought my travel system and pooh bear bath tub lol and i bought my packnplay,a pack of diapers,packnplay sheets,bath stuff etc.. we had a bunch of clothes given to us.

im waiting for my shower to buy the rest   i dont expect anyone to get me my big items thats why i bought mine  

Based on all of my friends and what they have said, people will buy you a ton of baby shampoo, powder, lotion, etc.

A wipes warmer. They dry them up and I never use mine.

This may sound dumb..but a nose sucker. The one from the hospital is best.

well i got about everything i needed. dont buy the little things, like outlet plugs, bottles, bibs, blankets, wash cloths. things tat are cheap.. and dont buy the big items that you put on your registry. but i was lucky, not sure what your family and friends are like and how much you think they will bring you.

I heard a wipes warmer is good if your gonna have a boy... my sis just had a baby boy and she said anytime she uses a cold wipe... he pees.. when she uses a warm wipe he doesn't...

i got a diaper pail from babies r us and it was only 16 bucks and it uses regular trash bags and latches shut like a diaper genie. its going to be my life saver since the dogs like to dig things out of the trash!

sleepsuits and vests! i got alot of them, do not buy a diaper genie i used mine twice it's not in the attic gathering dust
