SEX AFTER MISCARRIAGE

Does anyone know how long you will continue to bleed for after miscarriage? Also, I had the D&C so I dont know if it will be longer.

The doctors said dont have sex for 3 weeks. If I did sooner would something happen?

Also, I want to get pregneat ASAP how soon can I start trying?

the doctor told u to wait b/c u can get infected and what not....i had one 4 months ago and he said that u can start trying to concieve again once u've had a normal cycle!

yhea im pregnant again! im very excited too...praying that it works out for me this time...its def. scary! im 8 weeks today! im sorry for your loss and if you need to talk im here...i may not do much help i still get upset easily about it! and i keep having dreams that im going to lose this one! i hope not but we just have to wait and see! well im here if you need me! ttyl

I had a miscarriage on on Tuesday. It was an early miscarriage at 5+3 and recquired no D&C. I only bled till Thursday afternoon then it stopped. My doctor checked me on Friday and said that everything was ok and we could start trying again right aways. My husband thought that was great so we started "trying" on the weekend already.

14 years ago I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks which required a D&C. I bled heavily for 2 weeks before the D&C and then about 2 weeks after. We were told then to wait at least a month after the D&C for sex and at least 3 months before trying to get pregnant again.

Each pregnancy and each miscarriage is different and it's probably best to listen to your doctor about how long you should wait for sex and how long you should wait to try to get pregnant again.

That totally depends on your body and how long it takes to recover from surgery and to have your HCG go below .5.

You mainly risk infection. Uterine infection is nothing to play with and can impair your abiity to concieve. I suggest waiting.

The recommendation is to wait at least one cycle that way your uterine lining has the time to repair itself from surgery and to become favorable once again to a fertilized ovum.

I cant wait to get pregnant again. It was a total suprise the 1st time however, I now want a baby super bad.

my doctor told me to wait at least 3 months , to let my body heal and rest, he also suggested taking vitamins, prior to trying to get pregnant. I myself want to try right away,, but I think it is wise to wait at least 3 months.  

I was pregnant after not even a week and a half so don't worry too much about that but I lost mine BECAUSE i'm RH- so it may be different with other reasons for miscarraige i don't know but they told us no sex but not for how long! so we waited for the bleeding to stop and then 2 more days after that to make sure it was done.

stay on your prenatals if you have them if not go to the store and you can just buy them there. and remember you want to make sure you can HEAL EMOTIONALLY as well.. belive me it's hard sometimes because your paronois that your gonna lose the new bundle of joy as well... i still cry at night when I think about my little angel but it hopefully will get better a little farther down the road... this is my 8th pregnancy and I have 1 living child... sot that's 6 angels in heaven!!! it's very hard sometimes so make SURE your heart is ready!

I had a miscarriage back in march of this year, I had barely just gotten to the 12 week mark. anyways, my dr told me basically the same thing. Except she told me wait a week or two for sex so your body can heal...and wait about 3 months to try and start having a baby again so you can give your body's hormones a chance to level out.

I didnt listen very well though cuz I got pregnant about a week after the bleeding from the miscarriage stopped. Oops! Probably not the safest decision, but I'm so happy it happened, because now I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant with my baby boy and I cannot wait.

Did you have the shot at all ? I didn't know I was RH- until I started spotting with my 2nd pregnancy. I go thte shot around 5-6 weeks and at 7 weeks my HCG started falling ( I have yet to pass the fetus/blighted ovum... whatever it is).

Are you sure that's why you miscarried? I'm just trying to udnerstand the RH- factor.

Ugh, this was SO awesome to read. I just miscarried at 5 weeks and 4 days on Tuesday and only bled until yesterday (Wednesday). I feel completely normal, and it was even more mild than my period, luckily.

Sorry to be crude- but I'm SO effing horny like, I just want to get back in the saddle and start trying again!
