This is what a vaporizer is

posted 23rd Jan '09
This question comes up frequently, so instead of continually linking the video into various posts, I'm just going to make one post and link to it whenever someone asks.

Anyway, this is a vaporizer. Not all brands are the same, some use a bag system (as this one does), others use a whip system (I've never used one of those, so I won't go into them here), but they do the same basic job - convert the THC into vapor without burning the marijuana, so all you're inhaling is THC, and not burning plant material.

This is the brand I own, it's called the Volcano. There are two bag systems for the Volcano, and a new digital model, but they work more or less the same. This is the one I have (the original with the original bag system) so this is the video I use when someone asks what a vaporizer is.

The volcano is usually between $500-$700. There are other models that are cheaper and still effective.

But, I guess you could say this is one area where I'm a snob, and I wanted the top of the line, lol.

the volcano is top of the line.
They are about 600-700 dollars.
We sold them at the smoke shop where i worked. The reason they` are so expenssive is because they have to be imported....and they ALWAYS cause a fuss @ customs.
