Early or overdue?

Maybe I have wishful thinking but I have a feeling my baby will be born around 37 weeks. One major reason is I'm dilated to 1 cm already at 31 weeks.
But I want to ask all the other moms if they thought they would come early and they did or became overdue. Or if you hoped they would come early and they are making you wait, like Shannon and Barbi! Also if you had your baby already. I really want to have a 7-7-07 baby so I'd like to keep her in until then. I know she will come when shes ready though.

well i still got 10 days till my due date, and dont forget about honeygirl, she is 4 days ahead of me and shannon is 3, but because im tired of being patient im sure i will be late, i have an appt on monday and i will be 38w 6d, im hoping she checks me and i have good news, i have been having twinges in my pubic area today and i googles it and after reading through several things i found this, so maybe im dropped and i dont realize it, im having the sharp twinges as it calls it, im hoping i wont be late
Pelvic Pressure
After your baby drops, in which your baby's head is settled into your pelvis, you may begin to experience some minor discomfort. This pain is considered pelvic pressure, and you may begin to pass water and bowel movements more frequently. It's one of the obvious early signs of labor. Your baby is placing additional pressure on your bladder and bowel, which is why this occurs. The relaxation of your joints and ligaments may cause your pubic bones and back to ache. This also causes sharp twinges as your baby presses down on your pelvic floor. In addition your legs and feet might swell, as the compression of blood vessels happens. Lying on your left side, might help with alleviate one of these early signs of labor.

I say it all depends. Some people walk around forever dialated and end up having to be induced. I am 3 or 3 1/2 cm dialated and 70 % effaced as of Monday. I still have yet to go into labor. I got my membranes stripped...had my bloody show and lost my mucous plug on Tuesday and still nothing. I am going to be scheduled to be induced on Monday at my appt if I am still prego. It's my second also and my son was born at 38 weeks. You just really never know. I will tell you...try not to think about it. I swear since I have been thinking about it, I feel like I am going to be pregnant forever!

I've been 2 cm dilated for the past 4 weeks.
My doctor told me the baby WOULD be out 3 weeks ago.
Well, she's not here yet.
Just because you're dilated,
doesn't mean the baby's coming soon.
Don't get your hopes up.
I got mine up,
and no baby yet =/.

Ok so i know this is off the original subject but i am 31 weeks and have been getting those sharp twinges there like someone is stabbing you in your vaginal area for like a week and a half now... is it too early to start that yet. I have a doctors appointment on Weds. but that makes me scared for preterm labor. AHHHH.... but thank you because i couldn't find vaginal stabbing/twinging anyways as signs of anything.

my doctor thought that i would delivery early because of all the problems i had been having. they figured i'd have my baby around 36 weeks. but that didn't happen, lol. he decided to show up at 41 weeks instead!!

I really thought i would be early since i concieved right as soon as my period was done but i'll be forty weeks tomorrow and still no signs of labor *sigh*

I thought I would deliver early, no reason for thinking this, just a feeling, but I'm now 4 days overdue. I've been 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced for 3 weeks. I'm scheduled to be induced on Tuesday, May 8 if I don't go into labor before that, and now I'm pretty sure I won't.
