You misunderstood what I meant! I changed usernames because I wanted to get away from drama, start over…. So no one would be rude, although I got caught from having other accounts. And I did talk back on them (which did cause drama here and there) because I had to defend myself! I’ve given up on trying being friendly to everyone. I know now that it doesn’t matter if someone does not like me, because I have plenty on her that do, and the ones that don’t, don’t matter! I am who I am and I should have never let some rude comments get to me!

It's sad that people feel the need to 'defend' themselves on the internet.

I think that all this bad language should be banned also. I thought this was a clean, mother to be site where we we all women with fairly decent vocabularies. I was shocked to find all this profanity in every forum. What is the deal? Can we not clean it up?

our profanity policy is like this: you can use it all you want. people will judge you accordingly.

if you're one of those individuals who is unable to get into a discussion w/out inserting <bleep> into every sentence, you're going to look like a crass uncreative individual anyway.

i myself enjoy reserving my profanity for moments where it effectively communicates my anger/frustration-- b/c those are the moments where i can't think straight enough to be adult and articulate. (e.g. i've lost my temper and i <bleep> my effing this and effing that and once i've let out a little steam w/ my profanity, i'm okay).

that said, i've never been truly pissed off on the forum here (except perhaps when the crazy person posted those aborted fetus images-- then i just felt personally violated).

somehow, once i've typed/written down my feelings/thoughts, the need for profanity (and the use of it) usually seem redundant and make me look a little more immature than i'm comfortable with.

i mean, i had the time to write it, read it, and i still can't come up w/ a better way to convey my <insert emotion/idea> here?

truth be told: i used to curse like a sailor-- but i blame that on my mother-- b/c i wasn't allowed to until i left home and then it was addicting! man, i felt like such a bad-ass in my early 20's ... i didn't even hear myself cursing after a point (until the nice old lady at the check out line turned pale).

all that to say, profanity has it's place in everyone's life (whether only under their breath in a moment of utter frustration or in every sentence they type) and as baby-gaga goes, we're not going to censure when/why/how people choose to be profane.

it always reflects badly on the people who can't do anything but curse their way through a discussion anyway.

whenever I get mad at the store I tell the person who <bleeped> me off to go <bleep> himself...like the other day, at the thrift store, when there wasn't a tag on this cute pillow and the guy behind the register was rude and snotty about not being able to sell it to me...at first I cried and said I didn't want any of my stuff, then I went outside to calm down, then I came back in and told the man I changed my mind, I'd buy the other stuff afterall...he then said he didn't know where it was...as he reached into MY cart and began hanging up the dress I wanted for my mother...I walked over and snatched it from him and said "what the <bleep> is <bleep>ing wrong with you, you stupid <bleep>er".....mood swings....

I agree i try my hardest to keep my language clean! i think i have sliped maybe once or twice! but it's hard when (some curse at you alot!) This site promotes free speech and believe me you'll get it here, because some simply don't care if ones feelings gets hurt!

It's very sad that this has to be said to moms/moms-to-be...we ought to be mature by now. :/
