No that is the reason my dr started me on the shots, as of right now I am not having as many contractions as I was so it has helped decrease that. I will find out tomorrow how well they are working when I go to the dr.

Which side effects are you talking about? Many aren't known because the shots are extrememly under researched. They aren't approved by the FDA so information on them is limited. There are also no long term studies done to see if there are any long term drawbacks. Basically, if you're getting the shots right now, you're part of its research.
