induction/labor story!!

hello everyone, well as some of you know i had my baby boy on new years eve.. to start he weighed 7bs 7oz and was 19 inches long.
I was induced on dec 30th, at 6pm, and at this point i was 1cm and 50% effaced... but this is how is went. i was 39 weeks and 3 days, and when i got to the hospital i pretty much sat there doing nothing. at about 8pm, they came in and put cervadil in, which i thought was gunna hurt but it didnt. it was like a shoe string!they left me alone for the night checkin in every now and then, and at 4:23am, i had my first contraction, they started coming every 5 minutes, i was all alone staring at the clock... at 7:30 they took the cervadil out, and told me to eat something light.
at 8:00am, they started the pitocin, worse thing ever! yes it made my contractions stronger, but didnt get my to dialte anything! eventually at about 1:00pm, they checked me again, i was a whole 2 cm dialted and 80% effaced. i tried everthing i could seeing as i was hooked up to the monitor continuously. the next time they checked me prolly around 3, my water broke accidently! now that was the best part of my labor cuz it got allll over the nurse, which i found hallarious!i told her her nails hurt! she said she didnt have any, but she did... enough to pop my water... the babies head was already down...
so now my water is broken, and it continues to leak and gush ... my contractions started really kicking in. MIND U, I HAVENT SLEPT ANYTHING ... ITS ALREADY BEEN ABOUT 26 HOURS OF NO SLEEP.. my dumbass asked for the iv medication, wrong thing to do seeing as it made me wicked wicked drowsy and all i wanted was to sleep.. plus it didnt even help with the pain... at all!!! my contractions became ALOT stronger, to the point where i compleatly went into a trance, i didnt hear anything or see anything.. all i knew was i was in for a great deal of more pain... so i told my nurse i may have wanted the epideral.... about 20 minutes later around 4pm, i asked my nurse WHERE IS MY EPI! lol, she said oh u want it now! so i said yes of course and he came to my rescue! after the epi i was checked again and i was only 4 cm dialted but 100% effaced... thank god for epiderals because i felt like i would die at 4cm... never mind going to 10... i was still able to feel my contractions but very lightly... and i managed to fully dialte within 2 /2 hours. I delivered my baby christopher manuel at 6:26pm vaginally for those who are afraid of epis like i was because of risk of c-section,... and it was great.. i was able to feel his shoulders come out, and see him on top of my stomache ... he was perfectly healthy, and although im sore, i loved it!! REALLY to all the soon to be moms who are reading this... the epideral hurt less than my iv did!! and it worked wonders... so dont be afraid of that... well theres my labor story, i know its nothing sooo intresting but its mines and i wanted to share it. I will say, i will never be induced again, cuz the pitocin was a waste of time!
