Happy First Birthday!

Wow. I can't believe a year has flown by so fast!


Here is Cecilia about 5 hours old...the first time I got to hold her.

And here she is, 1 year later.


She is still just cruising. She has taken a few unassisted steps here and there, but I'm not counting them as walking as she was just transferring from one piece of furniture to the next.

She babbles constantly to herself, but the only true words we can make out are Dada, Mama, and fish.

Her favorite thing in the world (other than her Daddy and Mommy, of course) is her Der Hund. He's a fuzzy brown dog which she has recently begun carrying around in a fuzzy pink purse, which coincidentally, also has a fuzzy pink dog on it!

She has become very proficient at doing a few things for herself. She insists on feeding herself with a spoon or fork once we've put the food on it for her. She also insists on brushing her own teeth, once we have put her toothpaste on it.

She is still breastfeeding, which I consider more of an accomplishment for me than for her  

Thanks for letting me share. I probably should go wrangle her now as she is pulling everything out of the nightstand drawer...just another regular day in the life of 1 year old, Cecilia Paige!

Wow, she was such a gorgeous newborn and still just as gorgeous. They just grow up entirely too fast dont they? My first born just turned 5 and some days I feel like i just had her.

She is so cute. I've got like 17 days til my LO is 1!! it is scary b/c you don't have a baby anymore they are a toddler.

Thank you! It has gone too fast. It makes me a little sad, but a happy kind of sad  

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  
The first birthday always seem to come so fast. My daughter was born Dec 23rd 2007 and I remember when everyone was pooping out their babies then...and now they're all one. It's so bitter sweet.
