I know it, i dont drink coffee only tea and ONLY decaf tea. So i drink 2-3 sodas a day omg. My Dr told me also, to chill out on soda. He recommends drinking a gallon of water a day!!   I cannot drink that much water...I wish!
Yeah, I agree, I don't smoke or do anything else so if I drink some soda, oh well, my baby is healthy.

My sister is a lil psycho when it comes to soda, she drinks about 6 or more a day, yeah....psychol. Sooo she weighs about 105 lbs, and has had two kids. She eats too!! Lol, I promise. So I don't think soda has everything to do with weight.
Do you eat lots of breads?? I never have been a bread person, or pasta, and the only 'sweets' I devour is soda, lol. So maybe you can keep your soda and lose other things? Soda is hard to lose, it's addicting!

Lol they say caffeine is perfectly fine in moderation during pregnancy. Of course "dont drink soda" because it has caffeine and is a lot of empty calories, but hey so is friggin ice cream and chocolate and lots of other pregnancy cravings!

A fight? Lol. Oh jeez, there are some terrible, over dramatic ladies on BG. They think they know everything. I had posted something once that caused an uproar, so I know how you feel, trust me.
I think it's alright to drink soda during pregnancy, I had a big issue with it at first, I felt terribly guilty and such. But some girls made me feel better about it. Do what makes you happy. As long as you eat some healthy stuff too. Your baby will get what he/she needs from your body. One girl who's preggo drinks like 6 Mt. Dews a day and her pregnancy is almost over and she and baby are doing great!

Totally late to the topic - but diet soda ruined my teeth!
I used to drink Bacardi & Diet all the time. I went to the dentist and he said I have pretty bad decalcification. One of the first things he asked me was if I was a soda drinker. I quit soda years ago, thank goodness.
I have to use a nasty toothpaste with calcium in it now.  

Plus, aspartame is toxic, but I won't go into that.

I'm using Sensodyne's Pronamel b/c it's supposed to help w/ daily acid wear from food and drinks.

This 20 dollar rip-off I got from the dentist. It's called GC MI Paste Plus. It's in a tiny tube. I think I'm going to try what you're using.

The pronamel isn't as cheap as the others like regular crest/colgate, but not as expensive as the stuff you use now! wowsers....

My dentist gives the pronamel travel sizes out at check-ups.
