Peg Perego Primo Viaggio - tilt indicator noise ?
posted 5th Feb '06
OK, about 2 weeks (or less) before delivery day of our #1. "Houston, all systems are GO" as the astronauts might say.
Yesterday we had the car seat installed and inspected by local firefighters (as part of the auto club/provincial insurance child safety program). All was good. But after spending a day driving around with the seat base I realized the built-in tilt leveler indicator allows the metal ball to vibrate inside the indicator chamber and it's constantly making a soft but annoying buzzing noise.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with the Viaggio ?
Thanks.

I've heard one other mom complain about this...it nearly drove her up the wall, and I told her it's her seat, if she is really, really annoyed, she can take it off and just 'eyeball' the recline angle.
I think it's only folks with really quiet cars that have this problem, lol...I doubt you'd notice the noise in a rattly old VW, for example ;). You'll probably just get used to it, I think.

Thanks Julie. Well at least now I know it's not just me who's hearing the noise. We drive a Saab 9000, it's pretty quiet and solid like a bank vault so perhaps I'm more sensitive to interior sounds.
Actually with our new baby in the carseat the noise goes away. I guess the extra weight helps dampen the base and keeps it from moving as much.
Cheers.
