First Growth Spurt

My little girl is a week old today and I don't know what to do. I'm breast feeding and she seems to never get full she's getting milk because she's sucking and swallowing but she'll be at my breast for more than an hour taking some pauses in betweenand she's asking for more an hour later.Is this maybe her 1st growth spurt?Also do babies sometimes root and suck their hands even when they aren't hungry?Any suggestions would really help because I'm so worried I'm not doing things right.
