So these past couple of days I've been having a clear snotty discharge. I just read a post with someone saying that's what loosing their mucuous plug was like. I was under the impression you would always have pink or maybe brown in the discharge?
So do you always have a 'bloody show' before you go into labor? Or I'm assuming it's like every other pregnancy symptom and just a 'it might happen to you' thing?
I lost my plug!
But i know many mothers who said they never lost theirs.
I asked my dr. if they did but didnt notice it beings they were in labor. She said yes. 70% of ppl see theirs...she told me.
it's a might happen kind of thing.
the mucus plug and bloody show aren't really related. they'e both a sign that your cervix is changing, but in different ways. bloody show is when the little blood capilaries in you cervix start breaking as your cervix begins to dilate. losing your mucus plug is simply a sig that something in your cervix has changed and it not longer was the right sie to hold onto the mucus plug. some people experience both, some people experience one and not the other, some people never experience either.
the mucus plug is not a good indicator of when you will go into labor.
bloody show usually means it will occurs soon, but no specific time frame.
hope that helps!
