im sure this is asked all the time but..

i couldnt find it anywhere in the forums. im 4 weeks pp, and i know that my doc says to wait til 6 weeks, but i know some ppl dont. will somthing bad happen if i try to have sex now? how many of you waited, or didnt wait? and did anything bad happen if you didnt? pain, or infection? i had 2 stitchaes, but they feel fine.. feels like i havent done it in forever!!

you will get pregnant and get a nasty infection and tear your stitches.

I had stitches and I only waited two weeks--- and it hurt...

I waited several weeks after that. If you do it, go slow.

if you don't wait, you can get a really nasty infection. the 6 weeks pp check up makes sure your cervix is closed and any inner tears that you may not even know happened, have closed. if they havent and you have sex, they can VERY VERY easily get infected. and internal infections are extremely bad. just do yourself a favor and wait. 2 more weeks sans nookie is very much worth avoiding disgusting infections, possible infertility and then LOTS more weeks/months of no sex.

also, i waited 5 MONTHS because i had a very very bad episiotomy. so trust me when i say 6 weeks is nothing ;)

I asked my mom since I haven't had any children yet and she said, "When your married, 6 weeks is nothing!" lol she always waited longer then 6 weeks after the baby.
