How to start contractions?

What has worked for you mommies to bring on contractions?? On monday I was dilated 3cm and 50% effaced, this is also my second baby so is there anything I can do to get this rolling??  


Im not asking for your "personal opinions" or lectures, Im asking if anyone has any ideas to start naturally, or has personally tried it... if it bothers you so much dont answer

At this point the only thing you can really do is wait...Yes you're 37 weeks but baby will come when they're ready.

Good luck! LOL I have been trieing Nipple stimulation, walking, warm showers, everything... NODDA!!! Nothing has helped me!

the best tip i have is wait. you have 20 days and if baby is ready baby will come x

Umm wait until the baby is ready to come...thats about it

My doc told me SEX! And walking and nipple stimulation, nothing new or special.

you're probably going to get yelled at for trying to push your baby out 3 weeks early. be patient... your baby will come when it's time.

Im guessing its just a waiting game now and baby will come when they are ready

but i started having small contractions, like 20 minutes apart, my mom forced me to go in (she's always really paranoid)

so the nurse checked my cervix, and once she pulled her fingers out the contractions were more frequent and turned into my labor...

the same thing happened with my mom! idk if it has to do with her touching my cervix or not...but don't try that yourself. nurses know what they're doing.

Try accupressure (sp). Its where you stimulate certin pressure points in the body. Google it to do it at home or they have places you can go to get it done. I hear it works really good!!!

the only thing i have to add to this is to wait for 3 weeks and THEN try it.

exactly.

ok im not bashing but why don't people wait the other like 2 weeks? i mean they have gone 38 so why not wait the other 2 until baby is completely ready and will come on their own? i would love to go 40 weeks even with all my complications but im being induced between 36-38 weeks not sure of a date yet but i would love to go the full 40 x
