update

I posted the other day about my uncle having 2 massive heart attacks and being in ICU in a coma. Well his heart did start beating on its own but he is still unable to breathe on his own. Our main concern was the time he was without oxygen ( 30-40 mins) and should be brain dead after that. So yesterday they were able to to get him in for a cat scan to see the brain activity if any. Well finally they allowed us in the room and the neurologist said there is some swelling on the brain so he wasn't sure of the extent of the brain damage. Anywho, they lowered the medication that was keeping him in the coma twice before we got in there. My step mom and my dad were holding his hand and talking to him trying to see if they could get him to wake up a bit. No sooner did he blink his eyes ( but without opening them). Then it looked as though he was exhausted after just doing that and dozed back into his sleep.

Well, my dad and i left the room to grab a bite to eat and to let other people go in and see him. In the meantime my step mom came out and my dad went back in so her and i went to get sodas and stuff. My dad and everyone else ended up downstairs and told us that his eyes OPENED UP! and apparently when his wife said to him " turn and look at me " he did. My step mom said that the nurse told him to wiggle the toes on his right foot and he did!

However, the neurologist said that he didn't think the chances were good ( but thats before he saw all of this) and would check back in a few hours. Apparently my uncle started to do this right after the neurologist walked away so they grabbed him. Once he saw this ( plus my uncle had his arms up) he started doing some reflex tests and said what Michael was doing was voluntary movements! Like he would pinch his arm and Michael would flinch or pull away... or he would poke his eye with gauze and got a normal reaction. So - someone asked the neurologist after he did those tests what he thought now.. and he said there is def. brain activity he just doesn't know how much.

After all of his excitement for the day, his blood pressure went up a bit and they needed his heart and body to calm down so they asked everyone to leave. Later on i guess they put him back in the coma to rest his heart.

So things are looking really great, and for him to make it this far hes a miracle in my eyes   So if you ladies could continue praying for him i would be so grateful
