when did you become a fingertip dialated?

or when you got checked and you first started dialating,what cm were you at?
and when did you loose mucus plug?
and what is a mucus plug,i mean i know what it looks like,but where does it come from exactly?

I was 1 cm at 38 1/2 weeks, and at 39 1/2 I was still 1 cm but also 50% effaced.
I still haven't lost my plug, but I know a lot of people who didn't lose theirs at all.

I was fingertip at my 36 week appointment and 50% effaced. As of Wednesday I was still fingertip, but all thinned out. I lost part of my plug last week and I think the rest 2 days ago.. not sure if there is more left in there or not

i was 60% effaced at 35 weeks...at 36 weeks i was still 60 and 1 cm dilated....at 37 STILL 1 cm......38 weeks 1 1/2 cm and STILL 60 % .....39 weeks i was a little more than 1 1/2 but not yet 2 cm...and a little bit softer but still pretty thick!!
also i have no idea about the plug..i havent seen mine...

i have a stupid question,whats effaced?i know everyone has asked this on here but i never took time to read what the answer was.if dialation opens the cervics(right)?
what does effaced to?make it stretchy like?idk

Effaced is the thinning of the membranes that cover the cervix, dilation is the actual opening of the cervix... And to answer your original question, I'm 1cm dilated and I'm 34 weeks, 1 day... But I'm not effaced yet, my cervix is still hard and posterior....

i won't know till wednesday if the midwife checks me...which I don't think she will...even though I'll be 37 weeks. But I'm going to state to her about my hips going and that the pain is excruciating...maybe it might give her a boost up the butt...

I was a fingertip dilated when was 36 weeks, so hopefully there will be some progress when they check me on Friday. Hoping 1cm or 2cm? HAHA just something...even 1/2 and my butt would be extremely happy!!

At my 36 week check-up I was a finger-tip dialated and 70% effaced..........at my 37th week check-up I was 1cm and 100% effaced........and now as of friday Im 2cm dialated and of course 100% effaced but I dont think Ive lost mucus plug but gosh I wish he would hurry up and come out already bc this isnt fun anymore LOL

first time i got checked was at 36 weeks and i wasn't dialated at all.
last week at 38 1/2 weeks i was checked again, and i was 75% effaced at 2cm dialated.
i get checked again on wednesday
And i haven't completely lost my mucus plug, ive just had an increase thick boogery like discharge, which my doctor said that could be me loosing it.
