3 month old with stomach flu

posted 21st Nov '08
So I had the stomach flu yesterday and earlier today, and now my 3 month old has it. She can't keep anything down. Does anyone know what I should do?? Her Dr. office is closed for the week and they are not opened on the weekends. I just don't want her to get dehydrated!

My friend just got over it and her daughter is sick today.

Your peds don't have an emergency number?

I would just keep feeding your baby. Maybe less then you would normally but your baby might be keeping something down.

Is there an urgent care facility near you?

I wish they had a emergency number! It seems crazy that they don't! I would take her to the urgent care clinic, but her insurace doesn't cover her there... but if she starts to run a fever or anything else happens I think I'm going to have to take her.

It should be the law that a ped's office has and after hours number for parents to call. It's important to be able to ask questions.

If your daughter does not keep anything down for 24 hours I'd also take her into the ER or where ever you want to take her. Along with the fever thing.
