Pinching feeling on my cervix and it hurts. What is this?

I was at my 31 weeks appointment last monday and I told my doctor about it and she said it was round ligament pains. But it's different.When i 1st found out i was prego i had cramps (like period cramps) all the time and she said it was normal (round ligament pains.) Well now i fell sore sometimes like where the top of your pubic hair starts and then it goes away and then i get these sharp pains on my cervix. I'm having these pain with my cervix now and they come and go really quick and the baby is moving alot all over.They hurt really bad sometimes and other times they are mild.I thought round ligament pains where cause d by your uterus streching.Can your cervix have round ligament pains to?

I havr the same thing but im only 25 weeks. Went to doc today they made me have a sono and said my cervix was a teny-tiny bit open, and i had been having contractions but wasent real sure if they were braxton hicks or what I guess not. Maybe your cervix is getting ready for labor.

I hope not i have 8 weeks to go.. Thats really early.

I know mine has been killing me!! Feels like someone is pinching it. It just pressure from baby. I think my little girl get down as low as she can and then rams her head into the bottom of my uterus! That's what it feels like anyway Lol. You can always ask her to check your cervix and make sure you are not dilating but they usually don't start pelvic exams until 35 weeks or later.

well it doesnt feel like he is ramming in to my cervix but he was moving alot when i was happening. it had two really sharp pains back to back and it lasted about 5-10 sec. both times. and then after that it kept happening but it was really mild. it has stopped now.

Im feelin' you on that Like I said im only 25 weeks. I had my son early due to IUGR and high blood pressure, and he was just fine 5 pds 18 inches. and I took him home a day later

so how early was your baby. and they let you take him hoe the same day you went home even though he was early?

He came home with me a day later... He weighed 5 pds. I dont know if youve ever heard of IUGR but basically my placenta stopped giving him nutreints. I was supposed to be 36 weeks when they did the sono but really he hadent grown since about 30 weeks maybe even earlier. But im telling you Id rather 5pds then 8pds anyday. I labored 94 hours !!!

WHAT 94 hours are you serious. OMG! thats crazy. well he was getting something bc he still formed ok and you got to take him home the next day. well i'm gad he came out healthy. yah those pains went away a little while ago but it really hurt. thanks for responding.

Im having those exact pains and im almost 30 weeks. Was it a sign of early labor?? It happened last night some and then once this morning
