How bad were your first AF after your LO was born ? I got nothing till now he 4 months almost 5 and AF finnaly shows.

How many of you have facial hair with PCOS? The doctor I had seen when I was scheduling my surgery to get a cyst removed told me I had PCOS because I had some facial hair and me being overweight and not being able to lose it were signs. I know they are but my doctor, the one who performed my surgery said she didn't see enough facial hair to even say it's from PCOS. I was wondering those of you who have it how much do you usually have? And what type of medications they put u on to help you ovulate and conceive? My periods are normal. My hormone levels came back normal. I just don't know if I'm ovulating on my own or not.

Alright ladies I have a question. My cycles are usually every 30 days. I just had my son 6 months ago, and I have had 4 regular periods since then. Before having my son, I did not have periods for 2 years due to PCOS. My last period was on September 1st, and so my period this month was due October 1st, but never showed. I had sex with my husband today and had some light pink spotting. Also, the past two days I have had severe lower back pain. Has anyone else ever experienced any of this? I am just wondering if I am pregnant or if my PCOS is kicking back in. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Could I be pregnant or is this just PCOS again?

Lol its was because of the lil bit of facial hair I have under my chin that he said I had it. Along with me being fat. Hell I know why I'm fat I rarely exercise and I eat unhealthy. I'll admit it. I'm not gonna say I eat like the food group pyramid tells me to. And also because I had 2 cysts on my right ovary. That was why he diagnosed me. I just wish I knew which it was. Do I or don't I. One doc says yes the other says no. I guess I'll just go in between and treat my body like I do. It wont hurt any.

I'll be dealing with PCOS for years now. being overweight , facial hair ovarian cyst and problems conceiving are markers for PCOS for years I was told my weight was the problem not a symptom. army doctors told me I need to lose the weight before they were ever going to help me have a baby. I went to a fertility specialist I set down at his desk 5 minutes later after hearing my story he told me I have PCOS and that he can help me conceive my sons in just a few months. it's a very rocky road and if you don't think either doctor is well versed in PCOS then I suggest asking another doctor's opinion. I take prometrium for 10 days and clomid for 4 and had my son a month later I was pregnant. I now have a beautiful baby boy is 5 months old anything can happen.

What's prometrium? I know of Clomid. Right now I'm on Metformin so I could lose some weight and kick start ovulation if I'm not ovulating. I haven't lost any weight yet. Been on them going on 2 weeks. But what's getting me is that if I have PCOS then how is it that we got the idea to try and we started BDing every other night. In just 2 cycles I was pregnant. So you would think if I had PCOS then it would have taken longer. When we were bding every night nothing happened. The minute we switched to every other night that is when it happened. So maybe it's just that my husband may have enough sperm for every other night but not enough when it's everynight. I told him that from now on it's every other night or every two nights. See if it works for us again. I still need to lose weight but the only problem is I don't have much free time to go walking or anything. How much weight have you lost?

BUT guess what?! my period has came! on the fourth!! which i think is AMAZING since the last 2 periods i had also came on the fourth!!   ive never had this happen! im so excited that it actually showed up exactly a month later!

That is great!! Maybe your body is finally doing what it's supposed to. I'm supposed to ovulate on the 7th or 8th and my opks are still not getting darker. So I don't know if it's the opks that are a pos or I'm not ovulating. It's weird cuz if I'm not ovulating then how is it my periods are normal. I thought if you didn't ovulate your periods would be abnormal each month. That's what I always thought. Guess I shall see.

Prometrium is a hormone pill.I honestly didn't have a lot
Of sucssess with metformin last time but they are starting me on 850 mg now and sayong.as usual in some PCOS cases I am insulin restint. We will see how it goes...lol

Thanks. I read some of the reviews and it does help. I started to increase my intake to 1500 mg a day to see if I can see better results since I do have a good bit of weight on me it might take more mg to make a difference. I started it tonight so I shall see. I hope it doesn't make me sick again. But if it doesn't help me I may ask the doctor about prometrium. I will call in 3 months if I don't have a positive opk in the next two months. I feel my ovaries but haven't had a positive on the Answer brand. I hate those damn strips. They're not that sensitive. If you have any dilution whatsoever it affects the control line even. I'm going buy the first response kind tomorrow. I know it's more expensive but I'm due to ovulate tomorrow or on the 8th so if I' am close it should pick up. My periods are normal so I don't know whats going on.

yea if u dont ovulate no menses

but idk if its because my body is changing bu this perod and last months have been really light...and when i say light i mean, ive had sex with my SO and he didnt notice light...i'd spot then we have sex...then no more spotting then the next day id spot..but today i wiped and although the blood was still light, i had clotting come out a nice fair size, but i have yet to bleed heavily...
