Update- Went to a new dr. Found out I have the most serve case of PCOS he has ever seen. My left ovary is completely covered with cysts and he said he may have to take it out. He gave me the news that I only have a 10% chance of ever getting pregnant. I also have had 4 paps in 2 months all come back abnormal. I get a biopsy next month. Hes thinking I might have cancer. Which means he would have to give me a full hysterectomy. So sadly I can never be a mommy. I'm completely devastated. All I ever wanted in this life was to be a mom. But everything happens for a reason. I start school in 2 weeks and I plan on drowning myself in it and not think about it anymore.
I wish all the other PCOS ladies out here lots and lots and lots of babydust. I PRAY NONE OF YOU EVER GO THROUGH WHAT I AM!!

Hey everyone I haven't been on here in a while.
My story goes...I was never diagnosed with anything and at the very young age of 18 I got pregnant only 4 days before my first sonogram I had an ectopic pregnancy and had one of my fallopian tubes removed. After that I have had around 7 miscarriages, which meant a lot of shots for me bc I am also RH neg. I was put on folic acid, fish oil and baby asprin to try and conceive back in 2009, but was told the chance was very slim given my history. Well I now have a 2 1/2 dd who is my world. My dh wants another one so bad and I was very reluctant at first bc I really didn't want to put my body or hormones through the ups and downs of mc again. I went to a new dr and found out I have severe PCOS and got put on metformin. I just wanted to know everyones opinions on it and how everyone liked it bc its making my stomach very upset and I feel nauseous on it.

DD is almost 13 mo, still BF, so no AF yet for me... Hoping my PCOS doesn't return and I am able to conceive easily next time... Maybe even catch the first egg! Anyone else have experience with ttc after PCOS and an extended period of no menstruation due to BFing?

I was on Metformin! It is a horrible medication, but it works. I would ask for the extended release I know that helps a lot! Also if you are wanting to try for another baby they have a medication Clomid that can help, those side effects aren't nice either. But also use preseed(its a lubrication) with the Clomid. I think it works best

Thanks I'm going back to the dr Wednesday cause I had some spotting for about 4 days and they want to make sure it's not ectopic again and I will ask about clomid since we're actively trying now

That helped me concieve my little girl Also some women have tried using asprin or baby asprin along with a prenatal I know that has helped some PCOS women have a full term birth I go on a website called soulcystesr.com, its a forum for women with PCOS! They have all sorts of women with PCOS, who are TTC, adopting, pregnant and on diets ect. That has helped me a lot with TTC and getting pregnant! Good luck!

My dilemma is, i have a lot of pcos symptoms and have had a lot of ultra sounds and blood tests but my drs refuse to diagnose my with pcos because the cysts in my ovaries aren't in "a typical pcos formation" now i've been TTC with my Bf for 7 months with all negative results. now i'm almost 4 weeks late (8 weeks since last period) and taken 4 tests with negative results. i'm only 23 my bf 27. i have one son with another man and my bf is worried its him that can't have kids but i'm just so lost and heartbroken. I don't want to prevent my love from having children of his own. and i desperately want to have his babies but all this waiting has left us both feeling defeated. we won't stop trying. and we will go to dr after a year of trying to see if we are wasting our time or if we should keep trying. but until then i just needed to share my thoughts, concerns, fears... =( - very sad mama

I'm 31yrs old and had PCOS since I was 16. Even though it wasn't called PCOS then because most Drs didn't understand about PCOS back then. The only way I had a cycle was BC or provera. I had a daughter 13yrs ago but she was a MP @26 weeks. She is fine now. But my DH and I have been TTC for the past 11 yrs. We tried metformin, clomid and now follistim. We finished the 2nd round of follistim and found out we are expecting on May 14th. I'm so worried because of all the issues i had with my 1st pregnancy. And I have to worry about it being multiples this time (1st ultrasound next week).
