That was why I started this thread. I was completely alone with it all these years. I still am as no one in the family really understands it. So it is nice to have people who do understand it.

I think this is the case with me. At this point Im not sure if we will try to have any more children, so I dont know if I need to go back to the doctor to see if I should go back on the met. My husband wanted one and thank God we finally got her. I just want to enjoy her completely, but part of me still wants another baby. Im 36 so not sure if that is going to be the case now. It's always made me crazy to see people who get pregnant so easily and dont really care.

yep.. that's what the doctor said to me. But ever since my periods became super rare (irregular) too.

It is very hard to talk to people about PCOS when they do not have or understand it. I have felt so alone for years. Been through 2 IVF treatments with my ex husband. Not a one made it to term. Got a surprise with my hubby that I married in 2007. i was DX with in 2001 however the doctor i was seeing in 1999 thought I had it and never sent me for blood work. See we always wanted 2 or 3. But being it took us nearly 22 years (you can read about it in my about me page) making me 40 and him 42, we are just too old to have more. My body just ain't what she used to be! I just want to enjoy her and not have to share myself with anyone else.

I would check with your doctor, I know mine says I need to stay on it. So I am.

I was going through the pages and I noticed I repeated things I already posted. Man, I really need some sleep here. lol

On the irregular periods: I started having maybe 9 cycles a year in 2000. When I was in middle school I had my first cyst rupture. But back them they were not so susre about PCOS. I think I have had it since the 8th grade.

I think what is just as frustraiting is people don't understand, yet they don't want to even try to understand or learn.

I think if more people really understood and cared, there would be less abortions and more adoptions.

Because there are so many out there who really want a child and would adopt if the babies were available. I know I was in those shoes for so long, but we didn't know anyone in the shoes of pregnant, not wanting it until it was too late.

I agree with you. I was in those shoes. Before i left my ex I was begging and pleading with him to adopt, but he was not having it. Was not too long after I starting asking him, he started abusing me so I left him.

but, i think that it should be learned in health class in school cause so many high school girls could have it and not know it. Not to mention they would understand what us ladies with PCOS go through on a day to day basis.

it would be nice if it were taught in school, but unfortuniatly most kids would ignore it as they do all other things in school. most kids are there just to socialize and have fun.

one of my friends have PCOS...and she has been TTC since at least November of last year(which is when i was i got preg) her doctor put her on BC so she could hopefully become normal again with AF...but so far no baby. i feel really bad cuz when she found out i was preg with an unplanned baby she became really jealous. Her and her SO want a baby so bad(her SO cames from a big fam). I believe she was diagnosed like 5 or so years ago when doctors could not figure out why she was so irregular. Anyways i saw this thread i immediatly thought about my friend...i'm gonna send her a link to this thread and hopefully she can see what other treatments are out there for her..ps my heart goes out to you guys...i know who hard it is for you...i've seen through my friend...and know how precious a baby is

Luca's Mama: The strange thing is.. that sometimes we do;t understand why things like that happen (how your IVF's were unsuccessful) and in my case my miscarriage this past Sept... fast forwarding for the both of us.. I think in your case.. it worked out better that way.. (I think..) because now you have a wonderful hubby and you have his kids.. imagine yourself stuck with babies froma man you are not with anymore??.. it is hard. In my case.. Due to my situation now (economical struggles) I think my angle was better off in heaven.. Right now I would have been 20weeks and imagine how hard it would have been for pre-natal care and DELIVERY without health insurance??.. we would be in big debt.
Life is crazy.. I guess it's ok to cry ro feel bad.. when bad things happen.. but we have to keep our chin up and lpok forward.. in my case like you.. before I married myhusband I was engaged to a man trthat abused me.. I think the best thing I ever did was let that relationship go and now.. even though we are broke.. but we love each other and my husband is a wonderful hard working man ya know?

Hi ladies! I am new to baby gaga, and ttc! I too have PCOS, I am in cycle 4 and already on clomid for two months! I did not ovulate on any of my 4 cycles being monitored by my dr. and taking my bbt! I have been looking for a support group for PCOS, no one that I know understands what I am going through! Thanks for making this tread!

first week i of metformin doctor had me on one a day this week started two a day starting to have the upset stomache now... does it stop after being on metformin for awhile?
