c-sections and labor

I am having a repeat c-section in a couple of months (December 28 to be exact). I'm just wondering what happens if I go into labor before then? If I had an emergency c-section with the vertical incision then can I even have contractions or go into labor? I meant to ask my doctor about this, but I get wrapped up in so many other questions. Thanks!

I'm having a repeat section too. How early before your due date is you section planned? I'm having mine at 36 weeks mostly because my son was premature. Anyways i asked my doctor that question the other day, she said that If I happen to go into labor before the scheduled section then I'd have an emergency section really quick. It does help out thanks!! My doctor will only do c-sections at thirty-nine weeks! I was so mad, because all of the other doctor offices seem to do it between 36 and 37 weeks. I had my daughter prematurely also, she was 27 weeks at birth. Thanks for the info! Good luck!
