OT, but I just read your labor story...isn't it amazing how things always manage to happen differently than planned. Good for you for doing what felt best for you!! And, he's a cutey, trust me he is not looking like a little old man. My nephewwas atotal little old man...ugliest newborn I've ever seen, but now six months later, he's adorable!

I apparently have a problem with authority.   But in the case of labor and delivery, my view is that I'M the authority, not the doctor. My body, my vagina, my uterus, my baby.

You are right!
I have learned that my patients know things that I don't. I can only see the outside, they know what's going on on the inside!!

I've had two scares now and I have given myself "cry wolf" syndrome...i'm afraid I won't know or believe when i am having the real ones.

Yeah well I'm not like normal women. I do not dilate or contract I had my first child with not one contraction and 0 &0. The only reason i knew i was in labor for her was cause my water broke and when i go to the hospital the started my on pitosen and after 2 days on it wide open the nurse and Dr was like i guess you are not going to contract or dilate so lets do a section and i was like ok.
But this one my water is not breaking but i swear all weekend i have been in labor, i have not went to the Er cause i do not think they will belive me when i say i am in labor. I have been having tons of BH all weekend i will have like 10 in one hour then i wont have any for like 20 mins then i will have them again, and i have been having this horrable period pain but it is constant since i woke up yesterday (its not coming and going), and my back hurts like hell, the pressure in my pelvic is worse than ever, and my hips hurt like hell. I have a sharp pain in my vag that starts at the bottom and shoots up to my side. I have never had any pains like this in my life. I think im in labor? I'm not sure my water has not broken yet. So i dont know what to do.

Yeah, I was in the hospital Saturday because I was having constant pain and contractions, they gave me Demerall and that shot that stops the contractions (second time doing that). I would go ahead and go to the hospital if I was you...just to be safe...like the one lady said..you know better than the dr does!

yeah thats what i was thinking, but i know they are going to check me and say well you are not dilated and send me home. when i know for a fact I do not dilate! my body will not dilate for some reason. but I swear im in labor. I feel like crap. and its not the normal complaints of the last month. I have back pain so bad i cant walk and my legs hurt, and my vag has shooting sharp pains, and i feel lots of pressure, i have tons of Bh, and i just feel so crapy. i was able to sleep last night though.

that what i was going to say...they should hook you up to the moniters no matter what...Just be demanding!

yeah, im going to call my Dr and see what he says. he gave me his cell if i need anything. I guess i can call him and see what he thinks since he knows about my complicated body lol

Yep, I think thats what im going to do. Cause i feel like crap! I have never been in real labor before but I guess this is what it feels like. I guess im just afraid of a practice run. lol

Its Labor but not active labor   just enough to make me miserable of course. but it could change to active labor at any minute!!! yayy. if i get to where i cant take it anymore run to L&D.

i didnt even know that i was in labor until my hubby & SIL forced me 2 da H. I thought they were BH cuz they felt like m.cramps but i see it was the real deal when i got 2 da H i was 4-5
