You cant sit there and say YOU WILL have problems if you do it. MOST boys have no problems AT ALL. There are just as many negative things about it online as positive things. Please ladies just do your research. A lot of people on here seem to want to scaremoms to be.

It is very stressful for a large percentage of the US. You should feel very blessed. Many people from here go to Canada to get healthcare. It's a shame since the US can afford to do the same thing as Canada.

My husband doesn't approve of us not circumsizing our child if we have a boy...he said "maybe if we lived in another country, with a different culture." Each to his own is right!!

If you don't have health insurance and can't afford to pay for private insurance (the prices are unbelievablely high!!), Medicaid offers a few options for plans just while you are pregnant. It's notthe same as traditional Medicaid and the application process isn't as long. They are for low income mothers but you may be surprised by what qualifies for low income so I would DEFANITELY look into that. They have a program called "Healthy Kids for Pregnant Women" which covers all your prenatal, delivery, and some post-natal expenses. You can find information online if you just Google Medicaid and I believe you can apply online too.

yeah "family" means who lives in the house, as far as i can tell...if its just you, you are 2 people if its you and boyfriend ,hubby(or what have you) its 3 people. i think the only time it might be a proplem is if you live with your parents and i dont know how that works thats for Medicad. you can look it up online to see what the income brackets are.

I'm very thankful for the LAmoms program in Louisiana. I'm covered under my parents health insurance but they don't pay for anything that involves pregnancy since I am considered a dependent. I was able to get Medicaid and I don't know how I would have ever been able to afford this pregnancy without it. I've been Type I diabetic for about eight years now so I've been having to regularly see my endocronologist, ob, high risk doctor, and even have a check up at an eye doctor on top of bloodwork each month. I can't imagine someone having to pay for all these costs with no help.

Quoting JaysonsMommi:“ I am SO SICK of our "health care" system in the US. I wasn't able to see a doctor until I was 4 months ... [snip!] ... programs rather than spend billions on ruining someone elses, we all might actually have an American 'quality' of life.”
Wow... I make 10.50 an hour through Walgreens and Im living in Florida, well, i was pregnant in October & the baby died at 6 weeks (Nov. 14) but I had no idea until I got stomach pain like 3 weeks later and went to the ER and got stuck with all of these bills. The people theresaid I could apply for FL Medicaid. Well, I applied for that December 14th & a month later I got cards for me AND my baby (who was dead..but Medicaid didnt know that..I was told just to go along with it so they could pay my past bills). I was surprised that making 10.50/hour is still "low income" for Medicaid here, the cost of living in FL sucks and is so high, but Im glad I have FL Medicaid. With my 2nd pregnancy right now I have 2 more months to go where Medicaid will pay for it,but I have to reapply and get a new card and stuff for this new one. But i'll be living backto WI to be with my familyby then (I'll be 4 goin on 5 months preg. by then) & am hoping 10.50 a hour isnt too much to qualify up there!! It does get stressful. Up in WI "badgercare" doesnt cover the birthing at all. Here in FL EVERYTHING is covered. I do have insurance through work, but its not very good. I have to pay $45 copays for EVERY visit. I cant afford that at all. I have Vista of South Florida it sucks. I hope I can find a better plan when I go back home to WI or just not have insurance at all & get Badgercare!!

That movie opened my eyes to a lot of things and how awful america is for health insurance. Sure you can pay more and get "good" insurance but my old insurance was supposedly so great but they didn't cover me for anything...they said it was all preexisting. I want to to know how getting the flu and having to get rehydrated in the er is pre-existing. that movie made me want to up and move to another country with universal healthcare and in all the countries they visited nobody had to wait months to get into the dr it was when they wanted and they got all the care they needed. Its not like the soviet union.
