In Canada you don't have to pay medical bills??

I'm so thankful to be living in the UK, my partner has been trying to persuade me to move to the USA. After reading this its kinda put me in 2 minds

It is not covered in the $3,300 you will get a seperate bill for that.

I'm from Canada... So obviously I'm not in need of ins in America but I am curious... What does it cost to have a baby in the states???

I'm 10 yrs behind on this topic, but yes, I cringed reading these numbers because I couldn't imagine having to pay for any type of healthcare.
$10,000 to have a baby?! Geez.

We looked into insurance with my husband's job...SKY HIGH! Even worse for maternity. We were just barely able to get on Medicaid. In Oklahoma, there is Insure Oklahoma, which is fairly limited, but is low cost and you pay on a sliding scale. We don't qualify, but maybe after this baby is born, we will. We don't qualify for anything else, either.
I do have a wonderful doctor and a good hospital. The downfall is that only one sonogram is offered...unless an emergency arises. Luckily the sonogram clearly showed a boy. Other than that, I receive wonderful care.

Do you really have to pay separate to get your child circumcised?

I had medicaid and private insurance during my last pregnancy, because my Dr. only took private, and medicaid covered extras like hospital bills and dental work. I will do the same this time because it worked out well.

i live in Canada so i would not know what you american's go through but i feel for you i would hate to have to pay so much money just to have a baby. To have a baby should be a privilege. You should not have to pay to bring in our next generations in this world.
