Thank god I live in Oregon.
OHP is a blessing.

I don't need it now but its actually pretty good health care for low income. I'v used it in the past for other things.

Oh boy~Listen dont panic ok.I dont know where you are from But Im from NJ and I get all my prenatal through The Visiting Nurses Association. It is a clinic, and they do have Midwives. The upside of this is that they will help you to get Health Insurence paid for by the state if you qualify.I have horizon Blue Cross Blue Sheild, and Everything Frome Doctors,to hospital to prescription is paid for.No co-payments on anything.I am also a single Mom with a low income. If you need help with food they will also set up WIC interveiw for you.If you need any other information let me know and i will help as much as i can.Remember look for a Visiting Nurses Association in ur County and call and ask about prenatal care.

Our insurance covers fertility treatments. I also had three m/cc and had all the testing done to see what was wrong. Have you done this yet?

Yes I have already had all of the testing and the Dr. couldn't find anything wrong...its very frustrating! What type of insurance do you have if you don't mind me asking????

I was just looking into BCBS...do you have the blue max or blue saver? I saw that they are the only 2 that cover pregnancy! I just don't want to pay a fortune per month and don't want a ridiculous deductible either lol!!!! It isn't offered through my Husband's work and I am in college!

I don't have either of those that I know of. But, my maternity is covered at 100%. My DH hates his job but just may have to stick it out until I deliver. If I sign up with my job it is only carried at 80% and I don't even know if I could sign up with them if I am already prego.

When I was in school the clinic at the school offered some sort of insurance. It might be good insurance.

May I ask what all they tested on you?

EVERYTHING! LOL!!!!! I know that they tested me for all of the clotting factors, lupus and all of the other auto immune disorders and whatever else goes along with the "panel" that they ran lol. They did all of this testing after my second miscarriage( I was placed on progesterone the vaginal gel during 2nd pregnancy) When we decided to try again my Dr. advised me to take baby aspirin once a day and prenatals for 1 month before TTC and then once we got a BFP I was put on Progesterone, but this time it was prometrium oral meds. After my 3rd I had the HSG dye test done b/c she suspected that the shape of my uterus could have been an issue but it showed a normal uterus and no blocked tubes or anything. I have been waiting for her to call me back for 3 weeks to let me know what the next step should be whether it is doing additional testing or just trying again. I have progesterone left over from before and have heard many success stories about women who have had multiple m/cs and take progesterone after ovulation and it seems to work for them so I will consult my Dr. on that if she ever calls me back. I have spoken with the nurse and keep calling and bugging them but still have not heard anything! I don't want to just keep trying and trying and failing b/c it is so hard to deal with but I don't know what else to do

I'm sorry you went through all of that and didn't get an answer. I've also heard of women that were undiagnosed and had success with progesterone and some with progesterone and aspirin.

Here's a book I bought that really helped me. It covered medical information that I hadn't found online and emotional stuff that helped me. It also had other womens' stories. And it is directed for women with recurrent m/c. I found it at a used bookstore for like $7.

After Miscarriage: Medical Facts and Emotional Support for Pregnancy Loss by Krissi Danielsson

It sounds like you don't have a problem getting pregnant. Thats how I was too. Hope you get pregnant again quickly and it sticks!!

I met with an insurance agent today and am waiting for him to write my policy!!! I'm not really looking forward to paying the $336 per month but it is with Blue Cross Blue Shield and seems to be really great coverage....besides the high deductible...its a 100% coverage after the deductible is met and Maternity goes into affect as soon as the policy is written instead of me having to wait for a whole year or something! Its such a relief and now we can start TTC again without having to try and get medicaid again...I don't think we would be approved anymore!

Just so you know, no insurance company can actually deny you Maternity coverage either by just getting on it or transferring to a new insurance (I'll have to find the article about it)...unless of course they don't provide that insurance at all.

I'm lucky that my husband's work has awesome insurance that actually works with his work to help lower costs. We both have an HRA/HSA to help with costs which the money is taken out of his paycheck BEFORE taxes whcih means we get on a lower income bracket too. Just gotta save all that paperwork for IRS time just in case.

Though I do hear medicare is supposed to be pretty good- depending on the state- when it comes to pregnancy insurance. Also WIC is good too.
