stripping the membranes

So I will be 38 weeks tomorrow and have an appt in 3 days. Do you think the doctor would strip my membranes at this stage.I don't know how far dilated or effaced I am at the moment but a week and a half ago I was 2cm dilated, 75% effaced, and the baby's pelvic position was at -3. Let me know what y'all think and thanks in andvance.

I think you should wait to let your baby come out when he or she wants to!  

My doctor wouldn't. He wouldn't even check my dilation until I was 40 weeks, he said there was no need.

I did however get recruit someone else to strip my branes. I got it done 4 times. Never worked. It won't work if your beb isn't ready.

I had mine stripped at 39wks 2days, and 40 wks 2days, and I was still induced a week later. LOL.

Thank for the advice, I know that she'll only come out when she's ready, but I'm ready so I am not opposed to attempting to speed up the process in a safe manner.
