Tylenol PM

sO I just called labor and delivery and asked them if I could take tylenol PM to help me sleep tonight. They said Tylenol sure, Tylenol PM absolutley not. BUMMER! I was really looking foward to a good night's sleep for once tonight. Anything else that can help? And why the heck not tylenol pm?? Frustrating.

whaattt..i have heard people on here say that their docs let them take tylenol pm....

A nice bath, some cocoa, and cozy pjs is how I do.

Yes a relaxing hot bath does wonders.....and then curl up with a book and I sleep like a baby!!

My dr said i could take it that is weird . they just said don't make a habit if taking it to sleep

My OB said that Tylenol PM was fine to take...occassionally of course, not every night. I guess that every doc/hospital has different opinions though.

I'm telling you- Benadryl is on the "what you can take when you're pregnant" list and it WILL help you sleep.

thats what my doc said to take. she said no tylenol pm but benadryl was fine

I told the lady on the phone that it would only be tonight, I just want one good nights sleep because I'm nearing the end of the pregnany and need some sleep for energy and she was all like NO, you cant take that, its NOT on the list. maybe she was just being a bitch i dont know, these army hospitals suck IMO.

That sucks! I dunno what I'd do w/o tylenol pm right now... hot bath, maybe a good massage from your SO, hot cocoa or some relaxing tea like chamomile... a boring book... a purring kitty (I have two trying to convince me to nap right now, want one?) I dunno, but talk to your OB next chance you get. When I talked to the nurse first before my doctor they said I could take nothing, but when I talked to my OB she told me I could basically take anything OTC that I wanted to at this point in my pregnancy, and recommended tylenol pm for me... so definitely talk to your OB about it next time you see him/her.

Thank you very much, I think I will do that, you said at this point in your pregnancy and I am only 8 days behind so it should be fine.

My ob said it was fine to take while I was pregnant.. when I went to the hospital in labor but not full blown labor they gave me 2 ambien to help me sleep and sent me home.
