Swollen ankles after giving birth

I had my son on the 24th. (c-section) My ankles went down a little a few days after. Now once I got home my ankles are bigger than they were at the end of the pregnancy. They are still big I cant even wear any shoes. I have been wearing my slippers out. I am supposed to go back to the hosptial Tuesday to get my blood pressure checked again. This is driving me crazy even more than the c-section area. Any one going through this or has been through this. The doctor said to stay off my feet a little. But he also said move around. I am hoping I can get something for this so the swelling can go down.

did you have any complications in your pregnancy? Mine were swollen for a few weeks after giving birth because I had toxcemia.

No I didnt have any complications. My ankles got swollen during my last month. I was able to at least were shoes.

did they pump extra fluids in you?
they did that to me and you could barely see my toes or that i even had an ankle.

When I had my son my legs were swollen what seemed like forever! It was at least two weeks. They put a lot of iv fluids in you when you have a c-section. All that fluid has to go somewhere. That is the way my nursed explained. Don't stress it will go away soon enough dear.  

My friend has the same thing, the doctor said she might have a blood clot or toxcema.
