Quoting lil_chrissy_04:“ the smell is probably the dead part that will fall off. Keep cleaning it well and im sure it will fall off soon.”

The doctor was upset that we weren't really cleaning it the way it needed to be cleaned. The end result was a severe infection that began with an odor. All I can tell you to do that we initally did not do was to go DEEP into where all the yellow stuff (puss) is located. When you do you can kinda wiggle the cord without hurting them. The doc said that the objective is to get rid of the blood and YELLOW stuff. When it's cleaned right it will not smell and it will dry up faster hence why you use alcohol. I hope this helps. Good luck!
