Infinity vs. M5
posted 20th Jan '06
I was set on getting the I'coo Infinity from Babies R Us because of the price and the fact that it seems more all-purpose than anything else. Then I started reading about the Bertini M5, which is comparable in price, but a little larger, and possibly more rugged. Any thoughts on which is better?
To make matters more difficult, the only store that carries Bertini within 1000 miles carries just the Somerville London, which is heavier and more expensive than the M5. I hate not being able to push the thing around before I make a decision. Would the Somerville be a similar feel to the M5?

I am going to BRU to return an Icoo Infinity today. They were very generous in their return policy and said it was fine for me to test the stroller out in my neighborhood. I do a lot of walking and was very disapointed in the feel of this stroller.
It rattles a little on sidewalks and was not a smooth ride. I also have an Urban Mountain Buggy which is excellent for walking. Very comfortable to push and my daughter often continues her naps after my walks are done in the large seat. I added a seat liner when she was an infant and it worked out very well.
I was looking for a stroller that would be easier to take on errands in the car. The Icoo folds nicely without removing the seat and I thought it would be perfect, but even on smooth floors the push is disapointing. The front wheels are very tight and do not swivel nicely. I have seen more positive reviews about the Rock Star Baby, also made by Icoo and that stroller includes a pram and raincover which are huge +++. Good Luck.
