It's very scary to be a parent at my age of 33, I can't imagine doing it at 17! Good Luck, and I hope you get the support here that you are looking for.

It is totally normal to feel like that, but as long as you keep pursuing your dreams you wont let anybody down. Let your baby be your motivation not your excuse.

It's normal to feel like you've let people down but just do your best to not let yourself down. Keep your goals, modify them to include a child and be open to things taking a bit longer than you'd anticipated but don't lose focus.

Well, you can't change time and take it all back. Maybe you could have taken better care in prevention if you think it is so horrible. It won't be so bad after a while though. Look at it as a blessing. You will see the further along you get.

It's normal to feel like you've let people down, just show them that you CAN make something of your life, show them that your not going to be a teen statistic. Go to college get a good career, house, etc. Things will be harder now that you have a child but that doesnt mean it will stop you. Keep your head up you can do anything you set your mind to.

you shouldnt feel like youve dissapointed anyone, because u are still going to school, its not like u got pregnant and dropped out and gave up on everything. even tho i was engaged and all when i got preg. i still felt that way too, but i mean, its ur life. just think about it as ur life is going a different direction than what uve planned. plans always change. u woulndt feel like this soon when u start to go to ob appts and ultrasounds and feel baby kickin. so good luck with school and the baby!!!

Congratulations =]
A baby is a blessing so DON'T feel like you're letting anyone down.
Everyone thought my mom couldn't do it, she had me her Sr. Year in highschool and still managed to graduate! She had my brother at 19 and still managed to graduate college! As long as you keep your head held high & keep up with your education & no one will think any less of you =]

I felt like that. I was 15 and pregnant. 16 when I had my daughter. And I was scared and felt so alone and felt like I dissappointed my paretns. But I continued to go to school and after I had her I went back to school got straight A's for the first time in my life and graduated with honors the next year. I also went to college and got my Associates. Once I realized it was ok that I may not have made a smart choice but the right one everything went better. I wish I enjoyed my pregnancy more. My daughters 7 now and I wouldn't change my life for the world!!!!!

ugh, i know exactly what your groing through right know! im 18 and 8 months preggo! and my mom was supportive of me but when i got to my dad, i felt like a failure... and as the word spread i got lots of ppl who were either really really excited for me or really "shocked" or disappointed with me..
  but i've learned not to let it bother me, because even though im young and still in school. im gunna be the best mother i know how to be. and reguardless of age your always gunna feel like you let someone down. so just think of it this way, your bring a new fragile little life into the world, and it wont just be about you anymore...

I can empathize and I was 23 when I got pregnant, but because I was still in college, I felt the same way. However, keep your head up! I was able to graduate without taking any time off and my has son has added more to my life than you could ever believe.
