I think it just depends on the child. My friend has a boy and he was 8 1/2 lbs at birth and she only uses Luvs, she told me they are the only diapers that he won't pee through. I tried them with my newborns who only weighted 5.3 and 5.12 and I think Luvs are horrible diapers! I don't really think it's that the diaper won't hold the pee, I think they don't fit well. The newborn size is huge for my girls! The leak right out of the leg. I love Huggies and won't use anything else - especially at night!!!!

I've never used an "overnight" diaper, with any of my kids...I've found that when they are almost too big for one size, they might leak at night, especially pampers swaddlers, and Huggies Supreme, I think you give up some ability to hold in moisture by having them be so soft. It's more like it wicks out though, similar to cloth diapers, in my experience....I'm in love with the new Up&Up diapers at Target now though. Never had a leak, or a rash, and I don't change them at night unless they poop.

wow, I just went and bought the over night diapers by pampers...i'm crossing my fingers. we actually have had them leak badly with huggies, off brand types, and now luvs...and I get what you're saying about when it starts to leak it might mean a bigger diaper is needed...which always worked in the past but now it's not working and instead of it fixing the problem...it's too big around the leg area.


AND OMG I'M GOING TO GO INSANE!!!!!!!!! My daughter has been screaming her head off ALL day for the past 3 days. I don't know if it's teething or what but if I'm not holding her, she's not happy...and then she isn't even happy for long if I'm holding her because she wants to crawl around the house and get into EVERYTHING and stand on EVERYTHING. I'm seriously losing my mind...my eye is twitching....which only happens in times of extreme stress for me without fail.....

UUUGGGHHH I seriously need to scream. And I can't find those dang teething drops....I haven't tried wal mart yet.

I have some target diapers and Ace leaks out of them every night. I find him laying in a puddle of pee. So I bought pampers to put him in at night and use the target during the day.

I've used Luvs on all 3 of my girls. I seem to have a problem with them leaking with them too. But it takes a lot of pee to get em soaked good enough. I prefer huggies, but the prices keep us going back to Luvs

Yeah, Huggies are exspensive, especially when you're diapering two!!!I use tons of coupons!! I won't buy a pack without a coupon to go with it!   But I'm also in Germany and don't have the luxury of store brand diaperts, all we carry here is Luvs, Pampers, or Huggies, so I'm limited on choices.

well the overnight diapers did really well. Aiden still had a small leak on his belly, but it was SOOOO much better than what has been happening with the Luvs brand. I think he just pees an enormous amount for his size somehow so I'm pretty certain a size 4 in the overnights will be perfect. (I tried the size 3 last night because that's weight range he fits in and it's perfect for Audrey, just a tad not enough for Aiden.)

I LOVE pampers brand!!!! If only they weren't the most expensive ones.

Sooo cute!!! I wish we could do something fun like that. It's been entirely WAY too hot to go outside with the twins.

I went to the store at 8pm last night and it was STILL 103 degrees outside. It's been hitting 107-108 degrees by around 2-4pm everyday in my town. BLLAAHH!!! The A/C doesn't even stay cold during the day.

Soooo DH and I went to our big concert last night!

It was absolutely AWESOME! We danced and drank a tad. hehe. It was the most fun we've hadas couple since wayyyyy before I got pregnant. lol. I knew the babies were safe and sound at home with the grandparents and we enjoyed our night out to the fullest. The bands were absolutely awesome, especially Ziggy and 311. We chilld on the lawn for a good bit and then moved up about 10 rows back from 311. And of course, they was a fireworks show. We left and got Waffle House at like midnight. Ahhh....I felt like a teenager again, lol, but in a good way.

Hope everyone had a good 4th. My bebes are STILL teething horribly. They had mild fevers last night before I put them down for bed   They have been back up to drolling like crazy. That's really my biggest indicater is teething. When Micah got his first two he stopped drooling for several weeks,....not he's back to being a drool boy. Oy.

I love pampers too! I think I've maybe had three major overnight leak issues with them in eight months. Not bad.
