Looking for this for my 4 month old

posted 15th Oct
Well first of all, my daughter will be 4 mos old on Monday (so ok I lied she's not quite 4 months she's almost there though  ) and she LOVES to sit up, and look around, etc.she actually prefers it over laying down, or being a bouncy seat, etc. She'll fuss if she lays down for too long and as soon as she's picked up and sitting up on a lap or wherever she absolutely loves it... only problem is, she's so squirmy and my arms get so tired after a while. So I am looking for something she can sit up with/in, besides a swing, bouncy seat or Bumbo.. she's kind of limited in her movement in those things. I thought about a bouncer/jumper but I thought she might be too young. She has complete control over her head now too, but she obviously can't sit unsupported yet. Any suggestions? If it even exists? lol

how about an activity chair thing?? hold on, I'll find a pick of Dylan in his... He LOVES it. And it gives him the ability to move and play and bounce

The jumperoo is good - i think we started it just before 4 months. If she has complete head control, it does a good job of supporting their back. You may have to put a book or a pillow on the floor under her so her toes can touch (and she can make it bounce!). We have both the jumperoo and the exersaucer, and we use both. Whilemy babylikes the toys better on the exersaucer, our jumperoo is a little more "snug" around the body and it seems to provide a little more support. I took her out of the jumperoo the other day b/c we had to leave for daycare and she got angry!

Maybe a Saucer. With all the toys on it and then just put a pillow or two under her legs until she can reach the bottom of it

So would I be better off getting a jumperoo, or a bouncer/exersaucer. I'm just afraid that she will hate them   She is soo picky, lol (just like mommy! hehe)

I thought those Jumperoo's weren't good for babies...especially their feet and legs or was it doesn't help develop back and abdomin muscles? I don't know I just remember reading it.

What about a swing that he "SITS" up in? Mine LOVES his swing because he sits up and can look around. He loves to watch his Baby Einstein while swinging.

well we've got a swing, but it's that Graceo Sweetpeace Newborn soothing center... and she HATES it. She's hated it from day one.. I would have liked to get a different one, but we just kept it in hopes that maybe it would grow on her, but nope.

my mother-in-law has a swing she uses and she loves it, but it still restricts her from moving around.. she wants to move alllll the time. I would not be surprised if she's an early crawler..

I'm not sure about if the jumperoo it not suppose to be good for babies...

that's cute.. my son was at my MIL's house and she swore to me that my baby was trying to craw and he some how manage to pull himself foward moving his legs really fast.. he was attracted to a bright read toy that was laying right in front of him.. he hasnt done that for me yet.. but he does roll over when he is on his tummy time.. so cute!..

is the jumperoo unsafe?
