Circulation Problems

posted 13th Oct
I know that circulation problems are common during pregnancy but i am wondering if there are any symptoms to worry about.

I woke up today and i ate some food and i sated feeling horrible. I started seeing stars without sitting up or changing positions..I got really dizzy. Throughout the day i have been really dizzy and my arms and fingers go numb and tingley. There is this spot on my back that keeps going numb. And now my lips are getting numb and turning a little blue.

It is a little disarming. And i am a little worried about it. All of this has lasted all day and it wont go away. Also noticed it is easier for my arms and legs to fall asleep now as well. Last week my arm was numb and tingley all night.

you could be getting dehydrated. you have all the symptoms. If you up your drinking amount by having a glass of water, it shoudl stop.
It happened to me too, and the doctor just said to stay away from pop because it dehydrated me a little bit. So, drink some water, and you should be fine!

I know how you feel.
even if you sip an extra glass of water, it'll help a lot.
the more you have to pee, the better.
remember that you're creating amniotic fluid constantly also.

I hadn't thought of that... i live in Canada.
I went into preterm labor at 28 weeks, so after that, I worried about EVERYTHING. in the end, she was late...17 days late. lol
I was supposed to be induced the next morning, so I stayed in the night before since they had me on an IV for dehydration. I went into labor during the night and she was born at 1am.

It must be nice to not have to worry about medical coverage. I worry about these things, and how they affect my baby. I haven't had my bp checked in two months. And i find out i have a low lying placenta and haven't been able to have a scan to see if it moved up. It is scary to not be able to check things out.
That's awesome that your pre-term stopped

my cervix was dilating by itself. lol
Here, we have monthly appointments until you reach 30 weeks and then it's every 2 weeks until you hit 36 weeks and then it's every week. It's all free, everything. that's one thing I'm grateful for. When we stay in hospital, we don't pay for a thing. At least i know that if something happens to the baby, I can bring her in for free, they'll check her, diagnose her and tell me how to treat it. I don't know how parents in the States do it.

Wel you have to have coverage from an employer, or be able to afford private insurance. The thing is not every employer offers insurance. I am Waiting for state covered medicad but it takes a while. And ome times the dr's are slim pickings. It may take another month untill i get to go to the doctors. I am at 30 weeks right now. I an go to the er if i have a problem but it takes forevor and its a huge pain in the ass. And it can be god, maybe a thousand dollars. I got a bill for $400 from the urgent care i visited last month.

i had MO medicaid and then i came back to colorado. After being jerked around a lot here, now they have 10 days to file my paperwork. And up to 40 days from last week. I know Kansas Medicaid rocks

yeah, it can get rediciouls sometimes. The $400 bill was from an anxiety attack and being severely depressed... and even borderline suicidal (this was when i was pregnant) and i wasn't allowed to see a psychiatrist because i didn't have insurance. so the dr wrote me a script i couldn't fill because i couldn't afford it. And i was still bawling and hyperventalating and the dr sent me home saying, i hope we have been able to help you. When they should have hospitalized me. And they charged me $450 for it
