Preeclampsia?

Any moms who hadpreeclampsia, how long did it take for your blood pressure to go back to normal? I am at 2.5 months after delivery now, and everytime they take me off my medicine it just skyrockets back up!

Mine went down the next day after delivery.

about a month or two after I delivered as soon as the fluid started to go away is when my blood pressure went down and the fluid went away when i fully rested until i couldn't sleep anymore

Mine went down right away, I was induced and it was somewhat normal during labor but I had to be on my left side almost the whoel time because it would rise.

mine went down during delivery and after. they put me on meds to make it go down, then it went to low, so they put me on meds to make it go up. it was crazy! i don't have pre-eclampsia with this one though so i'm happy!

Yeah I was in the hospital two weeks just laying on my left side trying to get it to go down! I had my baby at 29 weeks and they thought it would fix itself because I had never had blood pressure issues before, but it still hasn't. It will be in the normal range but as soon as they take me off my medicine it will go right back up to how it was in the hospital. I am still holding some fluid and haven't started my period yet, so my dr says my body just still hasn't settled back into its normal state. But it just seems like its taking wayy too long

as soon as that fluid goes down you will go back to normal it takes time though so be patient!

OMG that is crazy...I'm your baby is ok and at least the medicine is controling your BP for now.

I was on medication for my BP until 4 weeks PP. I had to stay in the hospital for 4 days though because it was insanely high. Finally on the 4th day it went down to an OK enough number to go home. My Grandma had high BP since her first child though...she's been on medication since she was 18 for it.

My twins were born on July 25th and mine is still not completely back to normal...the top part is still running a little high but evidently my doctor isn't to concerned about it because at my post partum checkup he didn't put me on any meds for it.

Mine went down some after delivery, but it was still high... I was on meds for about a month before it went back to normal..

Mine went down immediately after Ryan was born (at 30 weeks) but it has lately been SKYROCKETING.. which is a bit scary. Best of luck to you though.

mine went back to normal right away, but to be safe they left me on the mag for a few extra days in the hospital....

I am alomost 5 months PP and my BP is still above normal!! My OB told me to follow up with my Primary Care MD...so hopefully it will be back to normal soon!!!
