It sounds like he needs to burp mama. Try burping him frequently during feedings to see if it helps. If it's his reflux take him back to the pedi and they have medicine to help.

I just read he was born Sept 16 so I think it's a bit too early for cereal even with acid reflux.

Is he eating too much maybe and just getting over full and spitting up what he can't handle after wards?

hold him where his head is in the nook of your elbow and his body is down your arm. ( Like a lion in a tree) i think thats what its called close to your body and rub his back. It helped a little with my daughter after her feedings but she was colic not acid reflux. good luck mama

Your not a bad mum!!!!. The first few months are very hard! Unfortunalty yours is a bit harder and something the both of you will get past. Make sure you take care of yourself too, it is very easy to get over excited and worked out since your probablly running on cat naps!!

Can you feed him sitting upright? Make sure he's laying down with his head and chest slightly elevated? Maybe a different bottle will help too, something with different flow or a different way the air goes through it? Some bottles can aggravate a reflux problem, and some are specially designed to help minimise reflux.

Don't worry, you're not a bad mum! Some babies are just a bit more fiddly than others <hugs>

He is probably crying b/c the reflux is hurting him (I went through this with my daughter - acid reflux also started around 3 weeks/a month old). You said you have started him on reflux medicine? It took about a week for my daughter's to really start working. She still spit up a lot, but the medicine eases the pain. Hang in there. I know how hard it is when they are so small and in so much pain (and crying so much!). It will get better. If the meds help, he will not be in as much pain but they may take a little while to start working. It made a world of difference for us.

This is true- so it could be positioning, more upright is better. You could even try him in a wrap- carrier that keeps him upright.

Could also be the type of formula, as someone suggested (i'm just assuming you're using formual) so you could try a few different ones and see if it improves. You could also try feeding less more often and see if his belly adjusts to that better.
