eek!!! 6 week pp checkup

posted 13th Oct
So I was just wondering if any of you ladies had stitches left that needed removed at their 6 week pp checkup? I got 3-4 stitches for my 2nd degree tear and then another 2-3 stitches on the side for a small tear... all the stitches have dissolved except for a small portion that has healed but one little booger stitch is kind of... stuck lol... like it is healed but hasnt dissolved.
If you had to have any removed... how bad did it hurt, on a scale from 1-10 lol.
I'm such a baby

I don't think you'll need to get the stitch removed. It should dissolve on it's own....eventually.

My second degree stitches took a long time to dissolve. They eventually did so all on their own. I had a cervical cerclage, however, holding my cervix closed. It was removed at 36weeks gestation. It pinched a little and caused some spotting, but wasn't that bad. And this is a stitchthat looks about the sizeofa piece of hay. I remember asking to see it and thinking "wow". Here I thought it was this itty bitty thread-like stitch holding my baby in! No wonder I was always so stressed out. haha. I'm pretty sure it will be fine.

aww!!! Haha hay lol...
I think its weird that the bigger stitches are gone, totally dissolved and everything, yet the tear with the smaller thread is healed and everything but the stupid thread is like stuck, how the hell does that even happen!
