I just became the proudest mommy of a little miracle baby boy. My son Christopher Paul was born 14 weeks premature, here is his story:
I was due Jan 14th
However monday oct. 6th i fell down the stairs...
I went to the hospital, they hooked me up to a couple monitors. The nurse watched my son's heatbeat and confirmed that i had not started having contractions. She printed out the heatbeat and showed the doctor in the hallway. I could hear them talking.
"That baby is fine, what is she doing here?" - Doc
"Well she fell pretty hard on her back and hit her head" - Nurse
"Did she hit her abdomen?" - Doc
"No" -Nurse
"Well my concern is for the baby, not for the mother. That baby is fine, send her home" -Doc
The nurse came in and told me that there is a blood test that they can do to make sure there was no trama and my baby wasn't in distress, but because i didn't hit my belly, they wouldn't do it. She said everything looks good, and sent me home. THE DOCTOR NEVER EVEN SAW ME!
The next morning i woke up and i was having contractions. I didn't know what it was at first because i didn't feel a tightening like everyone describes, my lower belly just hurt really bad for 30 seconds, then it didn't. After about 20 mins of being awake i started to bleed. I ran to the bathroom and wiped. The tissue was bloody and i lost my mucus plug. I called my hubby and within 20 mins we were back at the hospital.
They hooked me up to the same monitors and still didn't seem to be concerned. The nurse came in and told me i was contracting ever 2 mins and she was going to give me shot to stop it. Just as she was unwrapping the serenge my water broke. She called the doc and 5 nurses in i had two people giving me 2 seperate IV'S someone was shaving me, someone was inserting a catheter, another nurse was giving mea shot, and the anesthesiologist was asking me questions all at the same time. Within minutes i was in the operating room and my son Christopher Paul Armstrong VII was delivered.
He was still-born. They resesitated him back to life. He was born Tuesday October 7th at 9:43 Am. He was 2 pounds even and 13 inches long. He is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen. I am now home from the hospital, but he will have to stay in the neonatal intesive care unit for 3 months.
He has some bleeding in the brain. We are praying that he will be healed. He is our miracle baby. Please join us in prayer for our son!!!
