Halloween for baby?
posted 13th Oct
I have a 6 month old and we got a monkey costume for him to wear on Halloween....absolutely adorable, I might add . Now I'm wondering....what exactly is there to do with a baby on Halloween? I mean, obviously, you can dress them up and take some pictures, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Our local YMCA is having a Halloween party and costume contest on the 22nd and I plan on taking him to that, but I really want to do something with him on Halloween itself. If I knew any older kids we'd just go trick-or-treating with them, but I don't....so I'm thinking maybe we'll just walk the streets and check out all the other kiddos costumes. Any fresh ideas or suggestions?

Go trick or treatin anyways and eat the candy yourself??? LOL I wish I could, but my baby will only be a couple weeks at the most, and he's not going outside at all except maybe for a couple pics or hanging out at my grandma's house and helping pass out candy... only maybe.

We are taking our son who will be 10 months on Halloween to our church.
They have a huge thing set up, and every child gets to play games, and takes home loads of candy

Every year we turn our huge front porch into a mini haunted house and pass out candy. Normally in the zombie theme ( I love Zombies!) So I was thinking about dressingmy 6 week oldup as a Zombie Baby and letting her sit in my lap as I pass out candy while her big brother and dad scare everyone. Might go around the block to trick or treat just so her big brother will, doubt he will since he is getting his braces put on next week. Whats the fun in collecting candy if you cant eat it!

Ahhh...the church thing is a good idea. I didn't even think about that.
We're kind of new in the area, so I don't really want to actually go trick-or-treating without a child of candy eating age lol....I'd totally go if I actually knew the people around here, but I don't want random strangers getting mad at me for being the greedy candy fiend that I am, lol. Plus I guess it all depends on the weather...where I live you can't really tell from one day to the next if it's going to be 80 degrees or 40 around this time of year.
Oh, and Breanna'sMomma---that's awesome...I'm a zombie lover too! I might have to steal your idea next year and do a Resident Evil themed porch...maybe if I'm lucky by next year my body will be in good enough shape to dress up like Alice.
