Silly Question

I read one of the girls on here talking about Fundal Height...
What is it?
Is that how high your tummys measuring compared to weeks?
Can you just ask the doctor to measure this or do they use an U/S

I believe that is what the dr is feeling for when she feels your tummy at every visit...not 100% sure though

I am 36 weeks and my fundus measures 38. I am measuring big though. If i am correct I believe you it is the same number in how many weeks you are...

It is the measurement from were your pubic hair starts to right underneath your breasts down the middle of your belly.

it is the height of your uterus as it rises into your stomach cavity. i believe that for each centimeter equals a week of pregnancy(32 centimeters= 32 weeks preg) it just helps to see how big your baby might be without u/s. hope this helps

It's a measurement from the symphysis pubis (pubic bone) to the top of your uterus. It should be one centimeter for ever week of pregnancy (rough estimate; varies person to person and some docs measure differently) and they do it with a tape measure, usually at every visit.
