Calling all creative mommas....

posted 13th Oct
So, I am almost done buying the decorations for my baby shower. I am doing half the tables in balloons, and am stumped on what to do with the remaining ones. I have looked at centerpieces online, and I just can't afford to have someone else do them.

Anyone have any inexpensive DIY ideas? I can't for the life of me get anywhere with Google. The place we are having the party at will not allow candles or confetti , so that idea is shot.

We don't really have a specific theme. The primary colors are yellow and purple.

Thanks!

Get a kids' coloring book and trace animals or anything that might go with your nursery theme onto a sheet of cardstock paper. Get a cheap set of acrylic paint, paint the animals (or whatever), laminate the sheets after they dry and then tape them together into cylinders or boxes for center pieces.

As of now, we are expecting there to be 8-10.

Someone mentioned before that I should set up a little basket with colored papers with pencils. Let the guests use them to put baby advice on. Except I already have a kid from my previous marriage, so I don't see me needing any more advice.
