Level 2 u/s.

I'm getting my level two ultrasound today, so I was wondering how important it really is that i don't pee beforehand. Does it make that big of a difference? I'm feeling that I don't have a good chance of drinking 32 oz of water without peeing.

They need the pressure so that they can see the baby. Just drink until your bladder is full. I only had to drink about 18oz to get to that point. It depends on how well hydrated you are to start with.

They only told me 16 oz, and then halfway through they told me to go pee, and then they finished. I guess they need it at first....

Why are you having a level 2?

well i'm constantly drinking water, i just think i'll probably have to pee before i leave my house.

They need to be able to tell the difference between your bladder and uterus etc. I thought I'd pee myself too, but I did it... you can do it!

I was able to hold it, which was like a miracle. If it's painful just let a little bit out so you can manage. I didn't think it was possible to stop once you'd started, but I did!

ok im dumb but errm what is a level 2 u/s for? we call things differently over here i think so jw. x

An anatomy scan is normal, but not usually with a level 2 ultrasound.

hahahahah.. my first u/s they told me i had to drink that much.. welll i drank almost that much and i coulda sworn i was gonna pee on myself!! and of course my mom took the bumpy road.. =[ but i didnt then they told me i had to go pee a little cause it would make it a little harder cause my blatter took up most the screen.. =] lol.. it still did when i emptyed a little.. they got a kick out of it..
