Am I the biggest bitch of a wife ever?

posted 13th Oct
So I have been married for 4 years. My husband moved straight out of his grammas house and into the one I bought. ( his mother kicked him out for being a slbo.., now I should have seen this comming but I was working 50 hours a week to pay for the wedding while he worked 20- sooo I was too buisy to notice) well- I dont expect him to clean - anything. Even when I worked 50 hours a week until i had my son I did all the cleaning. BUT I do expect he pick up after himself.., he is sooo bad! I mean he literally throws food wrappers and pop cans ON THE FLOOR! If he eats something and I dont pick it up itll sit there for days! , dirty clothes all over the house ON THE FLOOR., and the list continues. I spend about 3 hours a day picking up the same shit over and over and over. Its all him! not to mention i am 5 months pregnant and have a 10 month old to chase and pick up after and clean up after too!!! The cleaning alone in my house takes about 2 to 3 hours a day let alone his added work !! I could literally never sit donw , and just pick up. Ive tried talking it out, scraming, crying, nothing works.., this dude is a lazy ass. Sooo- my newest resort is to just throw anything he left out in the garbage. ( then I dont have to pick it up again) Is that just too cruel or have I just F&%$#@! had it!!!I have a problem with him throwing it all on the gorund since I am prego and reallydont feel like bending over 50xs a day extra + I feel its really disrespectfull to throw things on the ground fro someone else to pick up., Im not an animal that grovels on the ground!!( his suit jacket sat on the dining room chair for 1 week, and his suitcases from his last trip have been in the car still packed for 3 weeks!!!!!)

Stop enabling the behavior, girl. Don't pick that crap up, stop catering to his childlike behavior and tell him that he WILL help you around the house or, at the very least, not add to it because it makes him look like a raging asshole to throw crap on the ground and sit back for you to clean it.

do u think if u just left it and let the house get super piggish he would pick it up or would he just walk over it and ignor it?

My SO is amazing..He works more than I do and we share the responsibilities..

Its time he pulls his weight,..

A relationship is suppose to be 50/50 money, chores, love the whole deal.

It sounds like he thinks you're his maid. I wouldn't pick a thing up or I'd throw it away. He sounds like he has some nasty habits!

If you don't want to pick it up again throw it away. That is what my friend resorted to doing and her SO now cleans up after himself a little bit better. At least he picks up the shit he wants to keep.

Put it all on his side of the bed and cover it up. He will notice then! Won't he? Your not his mother and he needs to share in the work!

Stop picking up after him. My mom had to do that with my dad. He would TRASH the house, like you explained, and while she was pregnant with me she did all the cooking/cleaning, etc. My dad had the nerve to call my mom lazy and all she did was sit on her ass all day. Well, after he said that she let the house get filthy. She said if he wants her to sit on her ass all day, she would. She stopped cleaning and one day the priest came over to their house and saw the mess. My dad got embarrassed and started picking up after himself.

I love the idea of putting it all on his side of the bed. That's awesome!

it's not fair that you should have to stop cleaning and let the house get dirty just to prove your point. i would throw away his things.....or after you put them out on the street to be picked up, let him know they are out there (incase he actually wants it) and tell him if you see it on the floor again you aren't going to tell him you threw it away and it will just be gone.

hes 25 , and I feel like this is my last resort. I have tried everything! Im a highly aggressive non - passive woman! I eat men for breakfast! lol so how Ive tolerated it for this long I dont know. IF throwing it out doesnt work Im really going to ahve to get a divorce. I just feel like its a respect issue. Its THE ONLY FIGHT we have ever had and it has been a daily fight for 4 years. , my biggest concernis that my son (s - I have another boy on the way) will 1. grow up in a house of strife cause Ill keep screaming about it for the rest of my life.., which is not conducive to child rearing. or 2. will be punished by me for these behaviors that their father exemplifies but are by no means tolerable by me or the rest of the world!!! so for those reasons I feel like he needs to be removed from the home.
